The Kansas City Chiefs pulled off a trade with just hours remaining before the deadline. They went out and got their man Raheem Mostert, even with last years top pick Clyde Edwards- Helaire on the roster. Mostert adds another track star to an already scary offense. The Chiefs have not leaned on the run much this year, but this may signal a bit of a change. Though Mostert is getting up there in age for a running back, the team feels he has at least two good seasons left.
The trade itself involved multiple draft picks. k.c. Sent a third rounder this year and a first next year to the Niners.This is just the type of deal san fran was looking for. They got to open up touches for their younger backs while acquiring multiple assets.
The winner of this trade will depend on if the Chiefs can make the playoffs and a run with Mostert. If not, they may second guess giving up two high draft picks for a 28 year okd Running back. Time will tell.
