The Chiefs coming off a week one victory, followed up with another conference win in week two. The always dangerous Ravens put up a fight but ultimately fell short. The Chiefs move to 2-0 in the highly competitive Afc.
Led by the passing attack the Chiefs put up 38 points and looked like a well oiled machine.
Patrick Mahomes threw 5 touchdown passes and added in 361 yards threw the air. His favorite targets on the day were the All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce and the emerging young speedster Mecole Hardman. Hardman finished with 7 catches for 173 yards and three touchdowns in a coming out party. Kelce added 5 grabs for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
As impressive as the passing attack was, the front 7 for the Chiefs really took over this game. They finished with 6 sacks and an interception. They got two sacks from Chris Jones and another from Frank Clark. If the Chiefs defense wants to perform this year those two will need to continue to put up stats like that week in and week out.
Next on the schedule is a key divisional matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. With the division race expected to be a race to the wire, this game will be pivotal in future seeding. Check back next week to see if the Chiefs can move to 3-0
