The playoffs have only just begun and the Washington Football Team is already thinking about the future of their PML 22 franchise. While a game plan is being made to address their first round match up against the Saints, it can be confirmed that former WFT star QB Robert Griffin the 3rd has been welcomed back into the virtual front office. His role is not fully thought out, but rumblings are starting to surface he may be utilized as a mentor for a new quarterback in the nation’s capital. Many people have begun to connect the dots and are making claims that Liberty QB Malik Willis is heading to DC.
The team’s current QB Jared Goff continue to perform at a high level and has brushed aside any future plans. He knows that if he stays on the team he will be paid 22 million and has performed to the best of his abilities over the WFT winning streak forcing the organization to consider bringing him back, even at that steep price.
In the second half of the season Goff has gone 122 – 158 for 1,804 yards, 77% completion rate, 20 touchdowns, and only 4 interceptions. This stellar play has led his team to a 9 game winning streak and the #2 seed in the NFC.
But the real question is, no matter what happens in the playoffs… will this keep him his job? With RG3 walking the virtual front office halls… probably not.
