Week 10 PML Injury Report

pInjuries have seemed to ramp up the latter half of the season and some teams have gotten the short end of the straw when it comes to how many players have gotten injured. The injury report below is of week 10 and it details how many injuries each team has and if those injuries are for multiple weeks. In this chart, I categorized ‘multiple week injuries’ as three or more weeks.p

pThere are a total of 69 injuries between all 32 teams. The Miami Dolphins and the Houston Texans have five injured players which is the highest for all of the teams in the league. However, The Houston Texans have four multi-week injuries which is the highest amongst all teams in the league. There are a wide array of injury types, as of right now, there 20 different injury types in the league. The most common injury for our league is a torn labrum. There are 12 different players in the league with that specific injury. Most of the injuries range between 2-8 weeks, but there was one player with an achilles tear who is out for 37 weeks. It is recommended that coaches are doing ‘half pads’ during practices in order to reduce injury and lower stamina during the games. The injuries are about average for most teams currently but we will see if the number of long term injuries arise as we get further into the season.p
