The Patriots heading into the offseason are Broke, old, and slow.
They have urgent needs at Quarterback, Wide receiver, Linebacker, and Cornerback.
The first move needs to be locking up Trent Brown as the previous owner never attempted to resign him and he is current mad at the organization.
The second move will be to move on from some veterans on the team to bring in youth/ speed/ draft capital.
Some names on the block are Shaq Mason, Stephen Gilmore, and Hunter Henry.
Expect the team to be ultra aggressive in trade negotiations and in free agency. During the draft expect this team to find and target their guy for the quarterback position.
New regimes almost always mean new quarterbacks and that will be the case here. Mac Jones has arm of a 7th grader and it just will not cut it in this Afc East. The patriots are not build to keep up on the offensive side of the ball currently.
As we get into the offfseason expect more rumors to fly as once the trade calculator opens, moves will be made.
