Welcome to the No Fly Zone. You are NOT allowed to throw here! These Lions have the best CB core in the entire league. They have not one, but TWO shutdown corners under the age of 25 years old. The future is bright for these young corners in Detroit. Jeff Okudah finished top 3 in INTs two seasons in a row. He had 12 picks last season. Patrick Surtain decided to come on over to team up with his man Jeff to really shut s*** down. Surtain did not have the best season in Denver, but he feels like Detroit will use him slightly better. The Lions system favors defensive backs and they develop great. This team had the best ranked rush defense two seasons ago and the best ranked pass defense last season. It looks like they could be #1 in everything defensively with this addition. Will we see man press everywhere or lots of zone? Who knows. All I know is it will be exciting to see what happens here. Let’s not forget about Amani and Mike Ford who are capable slot cornerbacks as well. There is nothing but talent in this room.
