Whats good PML today we are going look at all the starting NFC quarterbacks and rank them where we see fit.
#16 Joe Burrow, Minnesota Vikings
Statline: 1,955 yards 121 completions 205 attempts 7 touchdowns 24 interceptions 59% completion percentage 7 games played
Although Burrow is top 5 in yards in the NFC the rest of his statistics are disgusting. He has the least touchdowns thrown as a quarterback who’s played every game and is tied 2nd in most interceptions thrown. If I was the Vikings front office I would desperately on the phone trying to find a new quarterback because it seems like Burrow is not the guy for Minnesota.
#15 Spencer Sanders, Carolina Panthers
Statline: 981 Yards 76 completions 104 attempts 5 touchdowns 11 interceptions 73% completion rating 231 rushing yards 2 rushing tds 5 games played
I definitely don’t think that Spencer Sanders is a bad quarterback I just think that he needs more time in PML to develop. He has the arm talent and the ability to out run defenders with his legs he just needs to mold into a smarter football player. Once he has the accuracy and intangibles down he will skyrocket up this list and turn himself into a franchise quarterback.
#14 Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals
Statline: 1,120 yards 74 completions 122 attempts 7 touchdowns 10 interceptions 60% completion percentage
For someone who was suppose to be the savior of this Cardinals franchise Kyler Murray has looked lackluster. He’s not a horrible passer we all have seen him make good throws it just seems like he can never get it going with this offense and sometimes looks out of place. It also seems he refuses to use his legs and rather stay in the pocket with the amount of yards he has rushing this season. Hopefully Kyler can start to get the ball rolling or else this Cardinals team will go the whole cycle without sniffing the playoffs.
#13 CJ Stroud, New York Giants
Statline: 1,108 yards 79 completions 130 attempts 8 touchdowns 16 interceptions 7 games played
This is a weird player to rank because although the Giants have one of the toughest schedules so far this season the team hasn’t been playing too bad. But it’s hard to give any credit to their quarterback CJ Stroud when he’s sharing snaps with Daniel Jones. I’ve never seen anything like it in football before it’s like the Giants have their own bullpen of quarterbacks and flip on a coin to decide who starts or plays. Regardless Stroud is having a very shaky start for his rookie season.
#12 Bo Nix, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Statline: 1,377 yards 87 completions 141 attempts 11 touchdowns 18 interceptions 61% completion percentage 5 games played
Bo Nix is definitely a quarterback who’s been performing quite well lately, obviously he has some kinks but that’s to be expected from a QB who wasn’t taken too high in the draft. The Bucs have been doing a great job trying to ease his way into the leader of this offense the only knock on his game is his ability to force throws which leads to interceptions. He would also be much higher on this list but I’d like to see him have more impressive games against top tier talent
#11 Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Statline: 1,470 yards 104 completions 159 attempts 8 touchdowns 16 interceptions 65% completion percentage 7 games played
After having really good seasons in 1 and 2 it seems like Dak Prescott has taken a step back this year. Although his team has still found success so far this season Dak has been unable to stay away from throwing the ball to other defenders. If the Cowboys want to stay on track and make the playoffs for the third time in a row in one of the toughest divisions in PML he is going to have to get his act together fast or else this Cowboys team could fall off the wagon.
#10 Justin Fields
Statline: 1,936 yards 137 completions 195 attempts 14 touchdowns 18 interceptions 70% completion rating 240 rushing yards 4 rushing tds 8 games played
Justin Fields is by no means a bad quarterback, he’s just stuck in a really bad situation. He’s stuck in a division with two top users while he’s surrounded by a team with lackluster talent. It’s safe to say that even though he’s thrown 18 interceptions when you get sacked 36 times and pressured a whole bunch more those interceptions are bound to happen. If the offensive play caller can figure out a way to get the ball out of his hands fast or give him some more time to throw Fields could easily make his way to a top 5 passer in the NFC.
#9 Jordan Love, Greenbay Packers
Statline: 1,714 Yards 111 completions 170 attempts 9 touchdowns 12 interceptions 65% completion percentage 6 games played
Jordan Love has finally secured the starting position in Greenbay after the departure of Aaron Rodgers. He started off the season shaky but as we head towards the midway point Love is looking more comfortable and confident out there on the field. He’s putting up good numbers for a quarterback and as the season goes on I’m sure he’ll climb his way up the list more but as for now after seeing what this team accomplished with Rodgers and how they are a .500 team now he is ranked #9.
