Its that time of the season again folks. Draft talk is here. With that being said, the Kansas City Chiefs are officially on the clock.
The Chiefs are coming off a down year and have some holes to fill on this roster. Offensive line, defensive tackle, outside linebacker, and a replacement for the aging honey badger are all areas of concern.
Gm Arod former Gm for the Jets has has some of the best drafts of the cycle thus far. He hit on pick after pick, such as Derek Stingley and Kyle Hamilton. He has drafted ability player after ability player but his best moves have been on the phone. Arod succesfully moved up down and around to collect multiple top 10 picks in multiple drafts. So when we look at the most likely outcome most would say the first pick will be traded. I believe in it playing out differently.
With the first selection in the draft the Chiefs will take….. Left Guard Gunner Givens from Virgina Tech. This may seem like a stunner, a guard first overall? Seems crazy. When you think about what Arod like to do in game it makes sense. When he has played his best madden, he has run the ball well and controlled the clock. He had built one of the best lines in the league with the Jets and he will follow the same playbook here.
