What up PML, I am here with a new article series titled “PML HOT TAKES”. Today I’m here with some SPICY takes. Let’s get into it.
Hypemike Hot Take #1: Bubba can still compete at a high level when not given a broken offensive player. (Ex. Derrick Henry, Josh Allen last 2 cycles)
There are varying opinions on Bubba. Some think he can’t do s*** without Josh Allen. Some do. A few thought he couldn’t do s*** without running the ball with Derrick Henry last madden. Some do. Well let’s say from Buffalonian to Buffalonian I believe in Bubba. Yes, he may cheese with his best player but what the h*** do you expect him to do? He reminds me of how I play 2K. If I have the Warriors you better believe I am going to abuse the f*** out of you with Stephen Curry. This is what Bubba has done all cycle long with Josh Allen. Do not even get me started on how he has Diggs and Metcalf on his roster. Josh Allen is the most broken player in PML and was given to a user that KNOWS how to use him. Let’s just say using Josh Allen right means p****** opponents off. Josh is such a gameplan destroyer in real life and he is even tougher to deal with in Madden 22. Now let’s be real, this is Bubba’s second straight year of having a BROKEN offensive player on his roster at launch. Let’s see how he performs without a broken player next madden. He has earned his way into the trenches next madden. I think he will rise and be great, but this Hot Take won’t be in effect until Madden 23. Let’s see what team he has and how he will adapt. For now, he’s balling the h*** out!
Hypemike Hot Take #2: Jets guy did not tank.
I know everyone likes to automatically dickride on the hate train whenever one starts in PML. However, lets really look at the facts. The new Jets user came midway through season 3 and was already out of the playoff race. Not only that, he was unable to use a custom playbook in his games. Of course his performance will not be the best as it would be. If anything, more credit should be given to Arod for drafting probably the best “Madden” type of team on paper. Speed and demons everywhere in New York. The WR core is a little suspect though. I think more credit should be given to this man for beating Josh Allen (broken player) and Kmac (broken user) on his amazing run to the Super Bowl victory. He may not have had the toughest road with KMFO, Mole, and Kmac (without an average QB) but he still delivered. No Super Bowl is easy in PML, and he dominated in that game against Mike as well. Teams tank in real life, we are even seeing this now in the NBA with one of the best prospects in NBA history about to enter the draft. The Spurs and Jazz are tearing down their franchises to draft this kid next year. Like it or not, it is a part of rebuilding and even if he did it is still impressive that he won the Super Bowl. I’d rather have that in the league than someone who does not care about being competitive at all in any season during PML.
Hypemike Hot Take #3: CEO is a top 5 player in PML. (CURRENTLY without Mole & Kmac in PML)
Please before you all say anything hear me out. I wrote this before he lost in the playoffs. I do not know who he lost to but I saw he wasn’t in the super bowl, which disappointed me. CEO has always been an amazing regular season player but struggles in the playoffs. If any season was his season, THIS WAS IT. No KMFO in the playoffs, only other guys in the NFC on his level were in the running. Every single guy in the NFC side he was capable of beating. Even without any SB appearances so far this cycle, I still think CEO is one of the best users in the league. He uses his team advantages wisely and calls plays accordingly. The schemes he runs are very realistic and effective. His gameplay reminds me of Dlloyd in some respects. Season 5 he has to make some noise so he can be seen in the light with the top dawgs in PML. A lot of people do not think CEO is that good, and I think he wants to prove those haters wrong. I’m one of the few that believes in his skillset but his resume has not given me much to lean on recently. Prove me right CEO! I think he will make a NFC Championship or Super Bowl run this final season.
