I’m back! Today I’m with TBandit as we got some HOT TAKES for you all to digest. Enjoy!
Hypemike Hot Take #1: Jefe and DK have the MOST to prove in Madden 23.
These two guys are great users do not get me wrong, but they DO have to prove something next Madden. They must prove that it was the scheme and NOT the team.
Now let’s look at Jefe. He has been one of the top players this cycle, definitely in the top 10. However, he has one of the best rosters in all of Madden 22. In Season 1, he made the super bowl and lost. In Season 2, he lost to KMFO in the NFC Championship (I believe). In Season 3, Aaron Rodgers regressed and lost all of his abilities…most importantly Gunslinger. He then went on to lose to the Lions in the playoffs. This past season, he lost to WFT or the Cowboys in the playoffs. If you digest Jefe’s cycle, he was not nearly as dominant as he was in Season 1. HOWEVER, he has still made the playoffs with Jordan Love at QB. Let’s not forget he has some of the best superstar players in all of madden around him. Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Inside Stuff ability monster Kenny Clark, Jaire Alexander and a really fast secondary that flies all over the field. He is performing as he should with this roster, but it is hard to give my man credit with so much d*** talent on the team. I got love for Jefe, but he got something to prove next madden! He will NOT have this roster or anything close to this again. I think he will rise to the challenge, but we shall see.
Let’s get into DK now. This team is just as much of a problem as Jefe’s….but to a more extreme level. At launch, this team had not 1 but 3 99 overall DEMONS on OFFENSE. That much explosive offensive firepower alone propelled this team to being a headache. One may say “ their defense sucks” well let’s really break the s*** down. At launch they had Tyrann Mathieu who has kept his abilities all cycle along with Chris Jones who kept his abilities all cycle. This team also had one of the fastest and best secondaries in the AFC. In addition, DK had a DEMON at SUBLB in Battle. No matter what way you put it, this team was a D*** PROBLEM. DK had made two deep playoff runs but fell short when facing Kmac or Bubba. A lot of PML feels he is fake news and more team than scheme. Like I said with Jefe, it is hard to give a man credit with such an amazing roster. If DK comes back for Madden 23, which I know he will, it will be interesting to see what he does without all of those glowing players on the field.
Bandit Hot Take #1: Ceo gets too much love and is a slightly overrated coach.
I think Ceo is a solid dude and great for the league but we pamper him a tad too much. For the past 2 madden cycles he’s had some 13-3,13-4 seasons and some championship game runs but as a “top 5-7” user you’re supposed to do that especially with the opportunity he was given. Ceo hasn’t been in the ghetto (team wise) since I can remember and the past 2 cycles he’s been given a top tier team. A good coach like Ceo shouldn’t be given a team that 100% fits his pro-style approach along with being a top 5 roster. He’s had an advantage for the first 2 seasons the last 2 cycles and has yet to have a sb appearance to show for. I don’t hate ceo, I just would like to see him with a lower tier team that does not fit his offense scheme and then we can REALLY see what he’s about.
Hypemike Hot Take #2: Bacon is a playoff contender when he gives a f***.
Bacon went from being the AFC CEO last Madden to not knowing how to make audibles at the line of scrimmage. Do not get the s*** twisted, Bacon won 13 to 15 games a year when we gave him Lamar Jackson last madden. We have so many new users in the league that people seem to slip s*** that under the rug. He beat KMFO in the regular season and he was once a SUPER BOWL FAVORITE in Madden 21. I expect him to do the same when he is given a top team next Madden. He has positioned himself to get either the Ravens (again)/Bills/Chiefs/Packers. Real ones know how cold Bacon is when he puts his best foot forward.
Bandit Hot Take #2: Coaches get too much love for playing unsim.
Pml as a whole has gotten way more competitive over the last few years, which I love. It brings out good and bad which we all knew would come when you add competitive individuals. Some coaches take it too far though during the game and all people care about is if the game gets won. Far too many times do I see coaches: run deep crossers majority of the game, rollout into throws, roll to the sidelines with no pressure constantly , run pa on 3rd/4th n short knowing your going to abandon pa just to dumb out the Ai for a split second, show blitz just to dumb out the lineman, I could go on and on… some of these guys live and die by that s***. I just would love to see how some ppl would fair if they took some of these things out there gameplay. I know we all do it sometimes but some can’t do anything without it.
Hypemike Hot Take #3: Season 5 JT is a top 10 player in PML.
Listen man, listen! JT is a d*** monster in season 5! I expect him to possibly prove this hot take right this upcoming season 5. Last Madden he made it to the NFC Championship out of nowhere. I expect a quiet deep run from the man behind the madness, which is the Premier Madden League.
Bandit Hot Take #3: You lower tier (D-F Tier) coaches need to shut the h*** up.
I know everybody has an opinion and can voice how they feel in any situation but some of y’all get on my nerves. Sorry coaches speaking on other sorry coaches when they have no playoff appearances, playoff wins, or above .500 seasons is crazy to me. How you gone speak down on somebody or talk about how you so much better than them when you have nothing to show in your entire pml career or whatever. When rankings come out and the lower tier guys start saying who don’t belong and how that guy isn’t top 5 or 10, like how would you know if you’ve never played at that level at any point. Maybe I’m biased but if you sorry asf you should just work on your game instead of always giving dumbass opinions and speaking on stuff you have no buisness being involved in.
Ps: I love all my top 25-32 guys it just gets annoying sometimes.
