This is one of those offensive battles that will truly decide the outcome of the game. Neither of these two offenses promote a downfield passing game so far this season, but the running game may prove to be key for the victor. This game is going to come down to which team will turn the ball over less and how each team will take advantage of those turnovers.

Players to Watch –

Najee Harris –

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t been able to find an identity on offense, but relying on Najee Harris to set the tone up front is ideal. Najee isn’t the fastest back on the field, but he’s rarely ever pulled down from the first tackler. He has the ‘reach for it’ and ‘leap frog’ abilities, which aren’t favorable but Harris is averaging 17 carries through the first three games. The Jets are expecting a heavy dose of Najee Harris this week and without any glaring weaknesses, Harris should play all three downs for most of the game.

T.J Watt –

By far one of the best pass rushers in the league, T.J Watt is someone to run away from. The Jets are struggling on offense, especially in the run game, but they are going to become one sided on offense. Watt’s ability allows him to prevent most run plays from getting to the sidelines. You have to believe that Watt is going to be double teamed on most passing plays. He only has 2 sacks in 3 games, but he has helped lead the Steelers to a 2-1 start this season.

Minkah Fitpatrick –

Fitzpatrick is one of the best outfielders in the game, but a glaring weakness is his ability to come up and tackle the ball carrier. He has a 70 tackle rating and it’s suggested to challenge him when the rusher or receiver have the ball in their hands. Minkah is exceptional in coverage and he will use his 91 speed to make a play on the ball when it is in the air. The Pittsburgh Steelers defense is very underrated and has gone under the radar so far this season.

Game Recap –

Mitchell Trubisky.. Or Kenny Pickett? Which is the starter and which is the backup? Neither. The Pittsburgh Steelers are in shambles after having a relatively decent start to the season. Mitchell Trubisky was named the starter but he helped the Jets put the first points on the board in under two minutes from the games start time. On 1st and 10, the Steelers lined up in a tight shotgun formation, but the Jets brought a heavy blitz and Quincy Williams came untouched and absolutely walloped Mitchell Trubisky. Williams forced the ball out of Trubisky’s hands and Jermaine Johnson picked it up and ran it back for the touchdown. The New York Jets have a sensational defense folks..

They forced the Pittsburgh Steelers to throw 8 interceptions, sacked them 4 times, and forced two fumbles. Sauce Gardner had his first interception as a pro and if you fast forward to the end of the game and the Jets walked out of Pittsburgh with a 30-13 victory. This game could have gotten real ugly, but the Jets are still finding themselves on offense. Zach Wilson only completed 50% of his passes and was held to under 150 yards passing. Breece Hall and Michael Carter combined for a total of 56 rushing yards. The New York Jets have to find an identity on offense if they expect to compete in their division. They are up against a struggling Miami Dolphins team in week 5, but the Dolphins have the ability to strike quickly and can really build momentum with their track team styled offense.
