What does the future hold for King Henry?

pTitan fans have officially begun to panic as All Pro RB Derrick Henry was benched for Ty Chandler in the game vs the Indianapolis Colts. Before the Titans week 6 bye King Henry was one of PMLs leading rusher, and in the conversation for MVP. Although the Titans have struggled this season, Henry had remained consistently great. Henry has accumulated 745 yards and 7 TDs through 5 games, and frankly looks unstoppable. So if Henry’s performance is not an issue then why is he being kept off the field? Without leaking any confidential information, I can first point to the RB snap counts on the Titans. As you can see the Titans need significantly more backup RB carries to meet league minimum. But maybe there’s more… I can confirm rumors that the Titans have been in contact with multiple HC’s around the league, and have had more in depth conversations about mr. Henry. Why the h*** would anyone want to move on from a player of his caliber, let alone the centerpiece of your franchise? What it really comes down to is the vision of the new regime in Tennessee. Although Henry is an elite player in this league, he is aging at a position with a short lifespan. Titans are looking to get younger, and “punt” this season away, and betting long term on QB Malik Willis. With the absence of Henry all eyes will be on the offense, and specifically Willis. Willis has had his ups and downs this season, but looks the part of a game changer with both his arms and legs. p pWhere will Henry end up, a rising team, or contender? NFC or AFC? Elite coach or up and comer? To be continued…p
