It’s been a LONG time since I’ve done an article but today is a good time to start! Especially with all these PML rookies entering the league and needing some content point love. In this first article of hopefully many I’m going to get into the QB draft class that just came out and how each one of these QBs graded when it comes to DDT. For those that who don’t know, DDT points is a used to increase the chances of a player getting a Development Trait. Theres many factors that go into DDT and I’ll post a graphic showing what’s important. Additionally my breakdown will go into each one of the known possibilities of DDT like Awards, 5-star recruits, All-Americans, Scheme Fit, Preseason Stats (assuming people feed their rookies), Top 25 Team, and if the School is heavily represented in the Hall of Fame.

Top 5 QBs Based on DDT Points

1.Anthony Richardson– Florida Gators
Anthony Richardson is the number 1 QB in this draft class with no questions asked. After a deep dive the Florida Gators QB won 3 Awards (one being the Heisman), and a national championship. The real key for A.Rich was the fact that Florida had a lot of success in the sim. Let’s break down the DDT points.
Awards– 3
For the awards A.Rich gets 4 DDT points, and no thats not a typo. The Heisman winner gets a automatic 2 points and an additional 1 for every other award. So 4 points already just on the award section of DDT.
5 Star Recruit– 0
Unfortunately the rich don’t get richer here because the Florida QB is only a 4 star recruit. Im not sure if he gets a half a point for being a 4 star recruit but I’m going to assume that it doesn’t. So 0 DDT points here.
Scheme Fit/Preseason Performance– 2
Now this is assumed for everyone. With the way people force feed and try to get good preseason stats you have to assume they get a point here. As well as a point for the scheme because its a controllable point. 2 DDT points from Scheme Fit and Preseason Performance.
All-American– 0
Oddly enough the guy hogging all the college awards didn’t find himself on either All-American team. 0 DDT points here.
Bowl Win- 2
So based on what I know each bowl win equals 1 point in DDT. A win in the final 4 equals a bowl win and the national championship also is considered a bowl win. That gives A.Rich 2 DDT here.
Top 25 School- 1
Florida had a great sim and ended up within the Top 25 teams of college football so 1 DDT point is earned here.
School Heavily Represented in HOF- 0
Unfortunately Florida just missed the cut in getting a point here so 0 DDT points are awarded to Richardson here.
Total DDT Points: 9
Now theres a potential for much more, and Anthony could be a rare breed that reaches the max amount of DDT points. I believe JT said it’s only happened one other time since he started his DDT system. A very rare group that this man could enter.

2. Dillon Gabriel– Oklahoma Sooners
Dillon Gabriel of the Oklahoma Sooners comes in at number 2 and its a surprise to just about everyone in PML. Now Oklahoma isn’t a bad school by any means so this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise if you really think about it. Did just being apart of that Oklahoma roster propel him into the top 5 of DDT points or did he carry the team himself? We’ll never know but either way it puts him on this list. Now let’s break it down!
Awards– 0
Besides Anthony Richardson no QB from this class took home any awards to show they parents and loved one. Gotta be better than that boys! 0 DDT points here.
5 Star Recruit– 0
Now don’t take this as me talking s*** cause if i was recruited I’d be negative 10 stars but this man right here was definitely not a 5 star recruit. Based on research he was a 3 star recruit. Which is still better than “half a star”. Shoutout “The Longest Yard”, 0 DDT points.
All-American– 1
Caleb Williams received 1st team honors but that didn’t stop the stud that is Dillon Gabriel win All-American 2nd team honors.Which still awards 1 full DDT points here.
Bowl Win- 1
This could’ve been 2 points if they weren’t bested by the Cincinnati Bearcats in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl. But they still give Dillon 1 DDT point in their mid season bowl win against Texas in the Cotton Bowl 21-14. 1 DDT point here.
Top 25 School- 1
Thankfully for Dillon, Oklahoma was able to crack the top 25 this simulation earning him 1 DDT point here.
School Heavily Represented in HOF- 0.5
Florida wasn’t able to earn Anthony Richardson a point for Hall of Fame representation but Oklahoma did their thing for Dillon Gabriel. Oklahoma’s 5 Hall of Fame players earns Dillon Gabriel 0.5 points in DDT.
Total DDT Points: 5.5
The underdog story of the draft, the 5’11 QB ends up number 2 on our list beating out 5 star recruits. Dillon Gabriel was an undrafted in the PML draft which disqualifies him from DDT contention but he would’ve been a nice little snag for someone late who might’ve wanted to take a shot at a possible development trait for QB.

3. Bryce Young– Alabama Crimson Tide
Bryce Young find himself at number 3 on my list. A major reason is that Alabama and Young did not sim well in the PML NCAA sim. Without winning any awards or a bowl game it’s honestly impressive for him to still at number 3 on this list. Let’s break down how he was still able to be a top QB in this draft.
Awards– 0
Unfortunately the Alabama QB wasn’t able to secure any hardware in this sim. 0 DDT points awarded here (pun intended)
5 Star Recruit– 1
Even though it wasn’t a 5 star performance from Bryce in the sim he is still a 5 star recruit at heart. So the Alabama QB receives 1 DDT Point here.
Not a good sim for the 5 Star QB as i stated earlier, 0 DDT points here.
Bowl Win- 0
Did i say it wasn’t a good sim for Alabama and Bryce Young? Now when i say it was a bad sim this is one of the main reasons. The powerhouse club wasn’t able to at least take home one bowl game this sim. And was immediately bounced in the CFB playoffs for the National championship. 0 DDT points here.
Top 25 School- 1
Finally! Alabama is good for something. The powerhouse was able to do their thing during the regular season even thought the postseason and bowls games didn’t go as planned. 0 DDT points here.
School Heavily Represented in HOF- 1
No surprise here. Alabama is a factory for football players and is strongly represented in the hall of fame. 1 DDT point here.
Total DDT Points: 5
All in all Bryce could’ve easily been the number 1 QB in this class is the sim went slightly different. But unfortunately Alabama and Bryce didn’t show up in big games. Leading to a solid but underwhelming season for the powerhouse school.

4. Bo Nix– Oregon Ducks
What? Bo Nix?….. Yes, Bo Nix. Not rated a top quarterback or even an upper tier quarterback in this draft on game. But when it comes to the sim and DDT, the man makes a “big splash” at 4. Now let’s break down why Bo makes a surprise visit on this list.
Awards– 0
Not known to be a top QB in NCAA its no surprise here that he didn’t win any awards, Especially with Anthony Richardson stealing them all! 0 DDT points awarded here.
5 Star Recruit– 1
I don’t know who knows this or not but Bo Nix is a 5 star recruit. I know i didn’t have a clue until i researched it. His career maybe hasn’t gone the way he’d like in college but he gets his DDT point here.
Now that i think about it. No QB in this draft class made the All-American list in this sim. 0 DDT points here.
Bowl Win- 1
Hey! The Oregon Ducks take down the Fresno State Bulldogs in the SRS Las Vegas Bowl 44-7 to earn Bo a big point here with a bowl win. 1 DDT point.
Top 25 School- 0
If only Oregon had a little better sim and Bo Nix ended up collecting a point from being in the Top 25. We would be talking about Bo Nix being tied at number 2 QB when it comes to DDT. 0 DDT points here.
School Heavily Represented in HOF- 0.5
OREGON FOR THE WIN!!! The obviously prestigious school has sent a total of 6 players to the Hall of Fame. Which is just sending enough to give Bo Nix 0.5 points in DDT here.
Total DDT Points: 4.5
Like Dillon Gabriel, Bo Nix didn’t draw enough interests from anyone to get drafted this past PML draft. Someone should’ve taken a shot late to try and see if they’d get lucky. But unfortunately the undrafted rookie will never know if he could’ve been something in PML through DDT.

5. C.J Stroud– Ohio State Buckeyes
Coming in last but not least is CJ Stroud of the number 1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. The young QB led the Buckeyes to a 13-1 record but ultimately fell short like Bryce Young in taking his team to the next level. Based on scouting in PML he was a top 3 QB of this class and arguably the best overall QB to come out of this class. But in terms of DDT he falls all the way to number 5, which isn’t bad. Let’s break down how he got here.
Awards– 0
Like I said, no awards for any of these QBs after Anthony Richardson was done. 0 DDT points awarded here.
5 Star Recruit– 0
Just falling short of getting a point here, CJ Stroud was recruited as a 4 star recruit out of Rancho Cucamonga High School. 0 DDT points awarded here.
D*** Caleb Williams and Dillon Gabriel hogging all the All-American honors! 0 DDT points awarded here.
Bowl Win- 0
Unfortunately for CJ Stroud and the Ohio State Buckeye rookies the Big Ten Championship doesn’t currently qualify as a “Bowl” win. They did have a shot to reach the final 4 of the National Championship which could’ve earned them a point or two but unfortunately fells short so 0 DDT points here.
Top 25 School- 1
Ranked number 1 in all of college football should earn you more points if you ask me but in JT’s DDT system it only gets you 1 DDT point here.
School Heavily Represented in HOF- 1
Ranked 4th in total Hall of Famers with 10 the Ohio State Buckeyes earn CJ Stroud1 DDT point here.
Total DDT Points: 4
CJ Stroud may end up being the best QB out of this draft class based on overall skill and scouting but the simulation didn’t do him too many favors. If roles were reversed and he was able to see some of the success that Anthony Richardson saw then he would’ve been the number 1 overall draft pick in this draft! But since the sim didn’t go as planned he ends up actually tied for number 5 with others at 4 DDT points.
Honorable Mentions: Hendon Hoocker- Tennessee , Joe Milton- Tennessee, and Cameron Rising- Utah. All Tied at 4 with CJ Stroud.
