1. Green Bay Packers (1-0)

Toppling the reigning super bowl champs will put you at this number 1 spot. The Packers shut down the Bucs offense completely and played a pretty clean game until he decided Hooker’s dev was worth losing the game and threw four interceptions. Pulled out a win regardless and is for sure a contender.

2. Cincinnati Bengals (1-0)

Just like the Packers, beating a team coming off of an AFC championship is going to land you very high on the power rankings. All around, Cammy is here as a very competitive team who is hoping to continue to beat the Ravens and end up on top of PML.

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)

I mean what can you say. Arguably one of the worst rosters has been pretty dominant this cycle as they look to not be a one and done team this season. They completely dismantled a top team in the NFC forcing 6 interceptions with a great gameplan. Sky is the limit, championship is the expectation.

4. Washington Commanders (1-0)

A narrow win, but a win against another competitive NFC team with a superstar rookie quarterback. Sam Howell and Wimmy continue to lead this team to success with solid offense and great defense. Top 5 team… for now.

5. Dallas Cowboys (1-0)

Didn’t necessarily have a hard matchup but a dominant win is always impressive. Clean offense with no turnovers and pretty even run and pass play calling combined with stifling defense letting up just one touchdown while getting 5 interceptions.

6. Minnesota Vikings (1-0)

CEO stifled the Bears who are supposed to be competitive. These vikings are a team to watch out for as rookie QB Leary doesn’t have the highest ceiling but is pro ready with that 99 awareness and 99 throw under pressure. Another strong NFC contender.

7. New York Giants (1-0)

Too close for comfort against a weak team like the Patriots, but a win is a win. Didn’t help that Daniel Jones was playing hurt and Saquon couldn’t get going and fumbled. The defense remains great against the pass, but there could be questions about the run defense if they continue to let big ones break.

8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1)

The NFC rounds out its 7 of the top 8 spots with the reigning super bowl champs. A bad offensive game, but the defense showed up in the fourth quarter and Tom Brady came back in and took the lead with less than 30 seconds to go and threw a clutch two point conversion. Special teams… blew it.

9. Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

One spot below they lost to in the Super Bowl to round out the top 10, the Ravens played a very competitive game against their rivals who they beat in last year’s AFC championship. This is a momentary setback, Ke, Lamar, and the Ravens will be higher on this list sooner than later.

10. Seattle Seahawks (0-1)

Not the best debut but to be on the losing side of that close game isn’t a bad thing. Stroud wasn’t great in his first game but I have faith Z will get him right and with this supporting cast they could end up being real dangerous.

11. New York Jets (1-0)

A divisional upset win against a team like the Bills is a very impressive way to start the season for Fallen. Zach Wilson was amazing, the Jets just have to hope that he stays that way through an entire season.

12. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0)

JAC got off to a slow start against the lions but roared back and won comfortably. Mahomes was great like usual, but the run game was abysmal and is a major point that needs to get going if they want long term success.

13. Las Vegas Raiders (1-0)

The quietest game of the week, but the Raiders and Matigy should’ve been bragging about Derek Carr’s perfect passer rating and 4 touchdown passes. Very impressive week 1 as the AFC West is always gonna be a toss up.

14. Indianapolis Colts (1-0)

A weak opponent, but a perfect passer rating from 65 ovr Drew Lock is a step in the right direction. Clean, efficient offense and lockdown defense. Can I do it against a team like the Bucs, though?

15. Arizona Cardinals (1-0)

A blowout win, yet the box score isn’t all that pretty. Less than 300 total yards and only two offense touchdowns. Forcing 6 turnovers can cause that though, a good team that just needs to be consistent.

16. Tennessee Titans (1-0)

Bubba is back, simple as that. Domination in the run game with a pretty efficient passing game as long as Malik Willis is in. The most points put up in week 1 while forcing 7 turnovers could lead the Titans to much higher on this list if they continue to play like that.

17. Atlanta Falcons (1-0)

Coach Greeny showing using what he could do with the best running back in PML.  Taylor had over 300 all purpose yards and the Falcons protected the ball and their young signal caller.  A huge week 1 win for Atlanta as they look to trend in a new direction this season.

18. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0)

Was this a game they were ‘supposed to win’? The Chargers are not on that level yet, but the roster says they should be.  They start 1-0, however, the avengers front line of the Chargers gave up 188 yards and two touchdowns to Nick Chubb. A huge red flag to keep an eye on.  Is week 2 a game they should win vs Curt and the Lions?

19. Miami Dolphins (1-0)

The most confusing team in PML for a 2nd straight cycle.  QB roulette lands on Jimmy G for week 1.  Gets the job done, but wasn’t perfect as they take down the Eagles in a runaway victory.  Trade talks continue to whirl around the WR-corp, as there may not be enough targets for the Hill and Waddle with the fly-by-night QB situation. Stay tuned Miami fans.

20. Los Angeles Rams (0-1)

Top NFC contender comes out and gets beat by top AFC contender with far less talent on the latters roster.  Stafford threw for 1TD and 6INT.  The road doesn’t get easier as AFC champion Ravens travel to Los Angeles for week 2.  A big game to say the least for DK and the Rams.

21. Chicago Bears (0-1)

We thought this roster was ready for a big jump in season 2,but the Bears came out flat and fell to the Vikings 44-18.  Rookie signal caller Devin Leary carved them up for 300 yards and a touchdown.  This does not bode well for future divisional matchups versus Arod and Fields.

22. Buffalo Bills (0-1)

In a divisional game that was lost by 3 points, what it ultimately came down to was the Bills inability to project the football and win the turnover battle.  Buffalo must protect the football and put together some sort of run game if they want to contend in the AFC this season.

23. Denver Broncos (0-1)

Another divisional game decided by turnovers.  Broncos were dotted up by Derek Carr to the tune of 330 yards and 4 touchdowns.  The Broncos also lost the turnover battle (-3).  It goes without saying, the divisional games are must-win matchups, especially in the AFC West where all the teams could finish within 1 or 2 games of each other.

24. New England Patriots (0-1)

Love, love, love the Patriots game plan week 1 vs the Giants.  Kept to the ground and controlled the tempo of the game.  Patriots should have their heads up as they head into their week 2 divisional matchup versus Fallen and the Jets.  Certainly one of the bottom ranked teams on this list with something to build off of for their next game.

25. New Orleans Saints (0-1)

An early measuring stick game as to who will contend with the Buccaneers for the division this year.  The Falcons take the fist shot and the new-look-Saints head back to the drawing board as they take the loss in upset fashion on a Jonathan Taylor game-winner.  Bryce Young looked solid and the Saints should still feel excited for the potential this season.

26. Detroit Lions (0-1)

Hung around til late in the game but ultimately lost by several scores.  Newly acquired Baker Mayfield tossed 4 interceptions and took his team out of position to possibly steal a road victory vs a playoff team.

27. Philadelphia Eagles (0-1)

Wumbo wants to compete, he needs to beat 4-win teams- especially the way his division is set up.  The Derrick Henry trade is blowing up each week as father time will slowly involve himself in Henry’s regression.  A few more losses and it may be time to salvage what he could on Henry and free Joey Chestnut! 🌭

28. Cleveland Browns (0-1)

Maybe week 1 vs HD was a game Vet was ‘supposed’ to win?  Either way, they continue to sit at the bottom of the AFC and have shown no signs of life this cycle. Chubb killed it on the ground, but Watson barely eclipsed 100 yards. Does a top 5 pick warrant QB consideration for seasons 3-5?

29. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)

All that noise in the off-season to win-now and coach Arod drops 3 points.  Really no positives here besides a solid first half that slipped away quickly.  Lawrence threw 4 interceptions and the Steelers don’t have a first round draft pick.  Must-see-TV for Jac and the Chiefs.

30. San Francisco 49ers (0-1)

Another team with zero to build off of after their week 1 game vs Dallas.  Lance looked lost, threw 5 interceptions and the run game was stale.  An 0-2 start looks to be on the horizon as they travel to Seattle to play the upward trending Seahawks.

31. Carolina Panthers (0-1)

McCaffrey must take the pressure off Richardson.  Its great having a new toy, but lets not break it too soon as ARich is on pace for 51 interceptions, above the lose-your-dev threshold.  Lots of young players to watch on the Panthers may be the only selling point for its viewers this season.

32. Houston Texans (0-1)

All that bark and no bite from the new Texans user Dramaman.  Made all these win now moves, puts his combat gear on and plays the war channel in the background, and then proceeds to lose 49-10 vs Jcclutch and the Colts.  It could be a long cycle of purely entertainment if he continues to play dress-up instead of hitting the lab.
