Ayahuasca Journal – Week 3

Dear journal,

Today after our midday walk my shaman, whose name is Gary, asked me what I want in the long run? “The long run? What do you mean? Like after my career is over?” He looked at me and said, “How long would your run be if you were to never run again?” I stood silently while pondering this profoundly simple but yet deep message suggesting all moments must be seized at all times.

So thus my time away from football will continue as I still have more to learn about mindfulness. These lessons from Gary would have really impacted my career if I had known my rookie year. Brett Farve was so focused on numbers and being The Guy that he never displayed any real noticeable traits about living/playing in the moment. The FOCUS on the now is what i would tell the rookie Hooker if i was in the locker room.

I normally try to stay away from knowing how the team did on Sunday but I decided to reach out to some of my contacts for updates on the team. It was great to see that they were finally able to string together 4 solid quarters of football in Week 3. The only turnover came off a fumble which lets me know my guys were locked in. This is what i wanted to see while i was there. I hope they can keep it up!

I guess i was wrong about my buddy AJ Dillon needing to take a seat on the bench. The offense in the first half look stagnant without him. It was a good call from Coach to get him back out there in the 2nd half and feed him the rock. AJ might be slow, fat, annoying, with big quads, but he definitely knows how to move the chains and fall forward. It’s a great asset for a young team to have a reliable running game and it looks like we may have a 3 headed monster in Wisconsin.

If i do decide to come back there are two rookies I have had my eyes on.

Camrun Peoples – Through 3 games he has rushed for 308 yards with 1 TD. He’s not even our primary running back but yet he is out performing the HB room. This kid might have a bright future in our league.

Keylon Stokes – Is averaging 5 catches a game and seems to be a reliable target out of the slot for Hendon. He also has 2 kick returns for TDs, one that literally was a walk off to win the game! This kid is fast as h***. I’d love to send him on a go and chuck it down field and watch him go get it.

All in all the team is undefeated through 3 weeks and the kids are seemingly enjoying their time together. Maybe I can really kick back and take a deeper dive in my spiritual journey without much worry about the teams success?

With all this free time I plan on entertaining the succubus that has had her eyes on me. I hope she is real this time though. Gary still looks at me funny every time we pass by that donkey stable…

Until next time,

Aaron Rodgers
