Ayahuasca Journal – Week 4

Dear Journal,

Thoughts on global warming? I never really had an opinion about it until my time out here in the Amazon. Watching first hand deforestation has really hit me in a way I didn’t expect. To be honest, I kinda enjoyed the warmer weather patterns that slowly started creeping back in Wisconsin. Now though I’m starting to see the impacts in real time and its disgusting. I mean s***, did you see the monsoon that the fellas had to play in last week vs the Lions!? I’ve never seen weather like that in all my years in Green Bay.

Yeah… i know… I’m starting to watch the games again even though i said I wouldn’t. But just my Packers though. Nothing more than that. And I only watch when sober. Try attempting to lock in on a football game while hallucinating naked sitting in mud. It’s a stressful experience, therefore I watch each game with a clear mind.

Anyway, it was an impressive performance yet again on both sides of the ball. Hendon Hooker was able to manage the game in absolutely terrible weather. I know from experience how hard it is to control a game when it is pouring rain and winds are above 15 mph. The rook has yet to lose a game a quarter of the season in… I’m starting to get a little jealous… sike! IDGAF

Hooker is not even the reason the team is winning. It’s quite obvious Camrun Peoples is the engine that makes this version of the offense go. I lost count at how many yards he was able to gain. Last thing i remember before sipping my tea was he was over 175 yards on 15 carries. In my impressive and ever expanding mind I say Peoples is better than Bijan Robison.

Sippin ayahuasca can quite literally send you to another planet. Funny thing is, even on those other planets Curt ain’t winning against our coach. But back to reality…

Our defense continues to shine. Rashan Gary got 2 sacks and was awarded a new 5 year deal after the game. I had no clue the team still had cap to spend. Before I left I specifically told my agent to mess them over so bad with my salary that the team would crumble beneath my every whim. I can still see the disappointment in Shaman Gary’s eyes when i told him that during one of our elevated conversations on top of our favorite mystic tree.

You know, its funny to see how people respond to me not being on the field. The overall outrage of my not being out there with my teammates seems to have died down now that it is clear that the squad can still have success. When i decided to step away I did not expect for the team to perform this well. Maybe I wont even be welcomed in the locker room when i do decide to head back to Wisconsin.

My agent has said there is a chance i will be moved here soon. Depending on if the organization is willing to screw up the salary cap is really where all this stands. As of now though we are hearing that New York teams are the front runners with real interest in making the deal happen. There are 2 other teams in the mix as well but for some reason they think Green Bay front office will cave.

If there is one thing i know about the person who runs the Packers this year is that he don’t cave so i guess I’ll keep my eyes on New York and its weather.

Until next time,

Aaron Rodgers
