PML WEEK 9 POWER RANKINGS

o
  • Jaguars (7-0): They had their bye and now they’ll play the Colts a second time in a row. Will the best team in PML keep it up now that they’ve secured Etienne and DJ Moore to not be suspended.
  • Rams (7-1): A close win against the SB defending champs is a great way to keep this season going strong on their way to another one seed and NFC West championship. Should continue their dominance over the 49ers.
  • Packers (6-1-1): They had a nice win against a surging Chiefs team and solidified themselves as a top contender maintaining their slim NFC North lead. An easy game against the woeful Chargers next.
  • Vikings (6-1): CEO has been good all season, but the Vikings games have all been closer than expected and definitely closer than he’s wanted. The NFC North is very crowded so the game upcoming against the Bears is very important.
  • Bills (6-2): A very solid win over a Ravens team that is always scary. The defense showed out and the offense did enough as Tbandit stays in control of the AFC East and near the top of the AFC. Should take care of the Eagles next week.
  • Giants (6-2): Cook continues to build on last season and look to be more than a first round exit this season. The Giants beat up on Brock Purdy and now get a tougher test against Z and the Seahawks.
  • Bears (5-2): Spdot has made this team great but they’re still fighting an uphill battle due to how tough this division is. They won a close game against a solid Raiders team but now play the Vikings in a must win game to stay in contention for the division and a playoff spot.
  • Commanders (5-2): Wimmy has the Commanders rolling as they took down the CPU Cowboys with ease and now have a difficult test against Deebo and a Broncos team that’s been impressive.
  • Broncos (5-2-1): These Broncos continue to fight as they beat Fallen and the Jets with ease for the most part. Now the AFC West is a toss up again and a tough game against the Commanders would put them in an interesting spot.
  • Bengals (5-3): Cammy hasn’t looked as good as he did to start the season but the Bengals proved they are still a tough team and a potential contender with their win over the Seahawks. Should continue to rise back up with a game against the Jets.
  • Titans (5-3): Bubba has been up and down but still impressive for the most part. A nice dominant win against a bottom feeding Texans team is important as they move on to face the Cardinals to keep up in the wildcard race.
  • Raiders (5-3): Matigy has struggled after such a strong start but the Raiders are definitely still looking like a wildcard team at the very least if they can’t secure the division. A close loss to the Bears last week but a get right game against the Steelers upcoming.
  • Buccaneers (4-3): The SB champs need to do a better job defending their title. Codes isn’t playing poorly at all but they now sit att 4-3 with a 0.5 game lead in the division They need to start winning or they might miss the playoffs entirely. Important game against the Falcons next.
  • Chiefs (4-4): Would have liked to see Jac compete against the Packers a little more to prove themselves and keep fighting for the division, but they get a bye week to get healthy before a must win matchup against the Ravens.
  • Dolphins (5-2): Que has come to play this season and new QB Devin Leary has them doing it. They beat the Chargers in his Dolphins debut and now look to continue the new look offense with a game against the CPU Cowboys.
  • Cardinals (5-3): Dlloyd has been painfully average this season as they get a good win against the Falcons but it was close until the end. The Cardinals now get the Titans as they look to separate themselves from the middle of the pack.
  • Seahawks (4-4): Rookie growing pains catching up with the Seahawks.  Stroud throws 2 picks and the Seahawks drop lower in the standings in what could be a rare non-playoff appearance for Z.  I expected him to get it together but time is ticking.  The Giants are on deck, could make or break the rest of the season.
  •  Falcons (4-4): Falcons are teetering with the possibility of competing but their one-dimensional offense continues to hinder their progression.  Luckily they’re are still in a position to win a division crown, however, they are indeed the underdogs.
  • Colts (3-4): Maybe a bit too late to make a playoff run, but the Colts will try and develop young players for the remainder of the season.  Should be interesting to see if Paye, Pittman, and Charbonnet could get SS dev games to build upon for next season.  They have a lot of making up to do for a botched off-season.
  • Eagles (5-3): Wumbo is doing a good job of beating teams he should beat, but isn’t showing that next step towards playoff contention by beating playoff caliber teams.  If this holds true, I anticipate 2 or 3 more wins this season and beating early expectations for a second season.
  • Ravens (4-4): With a quick look, the Ravens have just 4 wins against teams with over .500 records over the first 2 seasons.  It got them to the Super Bowl in 2022, but are we now seeing through the smoking mirrors?
  • 49ers (3-4):  First I must apologize for questioning Antdawgs decision to start Purdy at QB as  I was unaware Lance was injured.  With that said, he is doing a great job filling in with what he has (although there may be better options in free agency or possible trade targets).  I think the excitement here lies within the upcoming draft as the 49ers could possibly have two top 10 selections.
  • Saints (3-5): Saints have dropped 3 straight since and including #jerseygate.  A once promising season has flatlined for Burn.  On the flip side, they aren’t totally out of it yet as the division in whole are on a combined 13 game losing streak.
  • Patriots (2-6): Patriots are actually playing solid offense, the defense seems to be the issue.  The run defense must be addressed this off-season as they place last in the league in rush yards allowed.
  • Lions (2-5):  The season is beyond the halfway point and the Lions have no signs of a pulse in content, chat, or attribute request.  The team needs work, and they will continue to sit at the bottom of a difficult division if the owner doesn’t put the effort into them.
  • Cowboys (2-6): CPU Cowboys steal one from Que and the Dolphins.  Not sure if coach Jefe wanted that as he may start drawing up the draft night blueprint upon his return next week.
  • Browns (1-6): Watson continues to struggle, take up cap space, and account for lack of draft capital.  The run game has been solid, but they don’t seem comfortable with Watson.  Do they have a choice?
  • Texans (1-7): The team record and individual statlines for Deebo Samuel and Alvin Kamara do not warrant what the Texans gave up for them. Will Drama own up to the botched off-season?  Probably not.
  • Jets (2-7):  Now losers of 7 straight.  I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I am not a fan of teams putting out 65 overall quarterbacks, especially one without a dev or future promise.  For one, it screams you’re not trying to be competitive.  Secondly, it’s an excuse to fall back on.  If your name isn’t Kmac, put a starting caliber QB on the field.
  • Chargers (1-7):   Not sure what to make of this anymore.  There are no glaring holes in the roster, superstars running all over the field, yet they find themselves in a position to land another top 3 draft pick.  Not the product we expected to see after pre-cycle team selection. If HD put the same energy into gameplay as he did in gen chat, we may see a super bowl winner here.
  • Panthers (0-7): Still winless on the season, not sure when that first will will come this cycle.  Maybe week 18 when the Texans come to town?  Another 1st overall pick seems destined for.
  • Steelers (0-8): Trevor Lawrence is out for the season.  George Pickens is out for the season.  Cameron Heyward is out for 5 weeks.  Chiefs have their potential 1st or 2nd overall pick.  The Steelers are being outscored by 200 points.  Kenny Pickett is back in the drivers seat.  Should I keep going?  Welcome to the bottom Arod.
