How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?
It's a brutal wake up call in a truly competitive NFC. We can't afford to lose games and now, we have a tough matchup against Trey Lance and the surging 49ers. But the focus is on the offense. It's been uncreative and indecisive, and that's my fault as much as anyone's. This is a tough-minded team, and we know we can win close games. But we can't allow multiple game slumps. It's time to wake up.
Can you talk about the development of Trenton Simpson so far?
TSimp has shown great spurts, but we've also seen the unfortunate side of injuries. The best ability is availability. If he can stay healthy for the rest of the season, we have great faith he's going to make a true impact. We love what we see even from such a small sample size.
How do you see the competition level in the NFC East currently?
The competition in the NFC East has been threatening. At the same time, when it comes down to it, we are 4-0 against the Dallas Cowboys, 2-1 against the Eagles, and 1-1 against the Giants. The Giants won the division last year, but we're looking for some revenge. We see them week 14 and week 16. We can't overlook the Eagles as we still have a big matchup coming. At 6-3, we feel great about the position we are in. We're down a game to the Giants, but we need to just take one game at a time.
