Transcript: Patriots Head Coach Press Conference

What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?

This week we had a tough divisional matchup. The key was to not let running back Blake Corum effect the game like he did the last time we met the Dolphins.

Can you talk about the development of Kelee Ringo so far?

He’s been progressing nicely. Our defense as a whole has been progressing nicely but having a weapon on defense like him is providing freedom in playcall.

Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Tyreek Hill?

There’s a lot you can say about Tyreek. Maybe the most dynamic receiver to play in PML. His ability to put the strain on your defense can not be ignored. Even though I feel like we prepared well. He still found a way to get behind our defense.

How has Andy Dalton’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

Andy Dalton has been a great addition in helping Mac Jones develop. His knowledge and experience is a great asset to the organization.

What is the status of Hunter Henry and when is he set to return?

Hunter Henry is still being evaluated but it looks like he’ll be unavailable in the next coming weeks. His ability on the field will be missed. Michael Mayer and Dalton Keane will both be called upon to help fill the void left by the All Pro TE.

Over your career, what makes a team better at not turning the ball over as the season goes along? What kind of things you need to emphasize? How much of it is coaching? How much of it is a mental part? Physical part?

It’s all mental. Knowing when to hold onto the ball and take a sack when necessary. Knowing when to just throw it away. And having the ability mentally to go through progressions effectively.

Some would say this team has the toughest remaining schedule ahead. How do you prepare for such a difficult remaining schedule?

One week at a time. Never look past an opponent.
