Transcript: Falcons Head Coach Press Conference

Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Quenton Nelson?

Big Q is the best in the biz. It’s always tough to prepare for the elite of the elite. We feel like our dline is playing well right now but you don’t get to just push big Q around. We will have to use stunts, and rush off the edge to get pressure. Former all pro Grady Jarret will be tasked with battling Quentin play in and out.

Did you scout Kayshon Boutte before the draft? If so, what stood out about him?

We scouted Kayshon very heavily. Before making the trades we did we were choosing between will anderson and Kayshon. He’s a great ball player who would have fit in well. He’s having a great rookie year living up to his high draft status. His elite speed, and ability to make plays on the ball in air are what stood out.

What stands out about your opponent's defense?

The colts defense is top 10 in every major category. They are absolutely playing lights out. Moving the ball wi be tough. They have 5 guys with 80+ block shed on the d line alone, then add in Leonard and Bobby o and the front 7 might be the best in the business. This allow them to play coverage while getting pressure.
