Can you talk about what it’s like to prepare to go against a player like Josh Allen?
Josh Allen is an exceptional talent. The young quarterback has all the ability to make every throw and every play known to man. I've said this many times. He is a tight end playing the quarterback position. Great athleticism and a great arm to boot. Not only that, his ability to read defenses and make every throw is second to none. We do not enjoy playing a quarterback of that caliber two times a season.
What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?
Playcalling. Playcalling. Playcalling. We had a great chance late to score and leave no time for our opponent to come down the field and counter but we weren't efficient in our late game playcalling. If you watched our last 3rd down playcall, you can see we didn't put our team in the best place to succeed. We will be better moving forward!
Some would say this team has the toughest remaining schedule ahead. How do you prepare for such a difficult remaining schedule?
Never look ahead and focus on every opponent that lines up in front of us. We aren't out of contention just yet and we will do our best to get into the playoffs this season and every season moving forward. Our position isn't envious but it will make us a better team!
How much of a problem is Von Miller on the defensive line?
He's someone who can remain statless all game but that one play you don't account for him or forget about him, he'll hurt you. As you can see by that huge sack he had on 3rd down of our final drive. Von is a difference maker in every way!
Can you describe kind of the energy or the mood and the vibe in the building now coming in the home stretch?
Confidence! Our team and coaching staff is a very confident bunch. Our confidence grows every week. We're excited to keep on improving week to week and take on these impressive opponents!
The defense is getting a lot of criticism lately for their level of play. Are you planning to make any changes?
They're young and they have a bright future! But we need our veterans to step up and make sure they have good leadership on the field! As far as making changes I don't believe any are necessary at the moment. Maybe in the future based on how our season is looking we could let some of our young exciting guys see the field.
