Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Chiefs last week?
I feel like the chiefs came out really wanting to win, but we were able to get the job done. This probably was the best defense we have played against the chiefs all cycle and with them trading Chris jones our run game is always going to be a focal point against chiefs.
How do you see the competition level in the AFC West currently?
It’s obviously a 3 man division. Chargers are lost and confidence is shot. But broncos and chiefs are both solid teams and solid users. After 2 seasons I’m 4-0 against both, so I can confidently say this is my division.
Can you describe kind of the energy or the mood and the vibe in the building now coming in the home stretch?
We are locked in trying to keep this team on fire rolling into the playoffs. The team believes we can beat anyone and everyone when we are playing at our best. But overall gotta keep a level head bc there’s nothing to be excited or satisfied about right now. Jobs not done
As far as complementary football, what the offense and the defense are doing as we look at dominating games, how do you feel you guys are getting close to that point, as far as complete domination from start to finish?
The defense isn’t really the type to lock people down to 10 points. And I don’t think that will ever be the case. But to consistently hold people to under 24 is huge. The offense only needs to find 3 good drives a game, along with the defense giving us short fields or points we score a lot. But that’s only our preferred way, if someone is able to protect the ball and score on us, the offense is ready to put up points almost every drive
What are your thoughts about the Patriots just in general as a team?
Got some good young prospects but overall with a not so great user that 85 thp is gonna make him look 5x worse. I’m sure he’s around a .500 team with a 90thp QB
