How does the loss this week prepare you for the next game?
The past two weeks have been heartbreaking for our team. We had the lead last week against the Dolphins for majority of the game only to lose on a missed field goal to send the game in overtime. This week against the Giants, we were up 10 points with under 3 minutes to go and we fumbled away an opportunity to milk the clock when CJ Uzomah fumbled the ball after getting first down and it set up the Giants to tie the game. We have to be able to control the clock in our game against the Dolphins next week. Keeping their high powered offense off the field will benefit us.
Can you talk about the development of Paris Johnson Jr. so far?
Paris Johnson is having a rough season. He leads the team with 6 sacks given up but he’s most well known for his run blocking technique. We need to help him get his footwork and power under control when blocking against stronger pass rushers.
What were some of the contributing factors to the loss this week?
Turnovers were our biggest downfall versus the Giants. We took points off the board with both interceptions that KJ threw. We need to help him with a better run to pass ratio. We have had fumbles in all but 3 of our games this season, so staying on conservative is the move for the rest of the season.
