“What if?” Is one of the most common phrases that people in general and members of PML use everyday. In this article we’re diving into a “what if” scenario where users that traded away their picks ended up keeping them. We’ll redraft the whole first round of the PML draft to see how things might’ve changed drastically!
Pick 1
Original: Chiefs- FS James Williams
What If: Steelers- QB Caleb Williams
The Steelers in PML traded their future 1st round pick and their current 2nd round pick last season to the Chiefs for Chris Jones. Looking back he gave the 1st overall pick and more for Chris Jones. Who by right is one of the most dynamic players in PML but he couldn’t save ARod from going 0-17. After talking with ARod he told me that if he kept 1 overall he would’ve selected QB Caleb Williams who immediately changes the whole dynamic of the PML Draft!
Pick 2
Original: Panthers- WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
What If: Panthers- FS James Williams
Originally with pick 2 he had no shot at the once in a lifetime safety James Williams but he did take the once in a lifetime WR and son of a Hall of Fame WR Marvin Harrison, Marvin Harrison Jr. What if the Panthers had their shot at James Williams? Well I can confirm that James Williams would’ve been JT fastest pick ever in PML!
Pick 3
Original: Patriots- QB Caleb Williams
What If: Patriots- QB Drake Maye
Patriots have hit the jackpot with Caleb Williams! But in the what if scenario you can see that’s no longer the case for the New England Patriots. We still end up getting our QB but not exactly the QB we dreamed for. With that being said Drake Maye is still a solid pickup!

Original: 49ers- WR Jalin Hyatt
What If: Jets- CB Kool-Ade McKinstry
Originally the Bears has pick 4 after trading Roquan Smith to the Jets for their future 1st and a current 2nd round pick. I personally thought that if they had a shot at #4 to get a QB, they would but Fallen has told me Kool-Ade McKinstry would’ve been a Jet. Is that because he traded Sauce Gardner for Trevor Lawrence. Would he have traded for Trevor is he had his 4th overall pick? Thats another “What If” scenario. For this one he fills his need at corner after trading away Sauce Garnder.

Original: 49ers- DL Korey Foreman
What If: Texans- DL Korey Foreman
The 49ers pulled off the heist of a lifetime last season when the Texans decided to give up some very high draft capital in the Browns future 1st round pick, their own future 1st round pick and a current 3rd for Deebo Samuel. Which both picks ended up being picks 5 and 6 in this draft. In this scenario the Texans retain both picks and with their first pick they take Korey Foreman like the 49ers. Im surprised that he also decided to pass on a QB here with Quinn Ewers still on the board.

Original: Colts- TE Brock Bowers
What If: Texans- OLB Dallas Turner
Man drama confuses the s*** outta me. I can think as to why he wouldn’t address a need like QB with this pick and also decides to reach for another edge player. This man gets a F from me on this pick especially. Even with a second chance at not f*cking up his team. Long live Drama, we need him. “How you f*ck up 2x?”
Pick 7
Original: Chargers- DL JT Tuimoloau
What If: Chargers- WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
Hd once again had a top 10 pick with a Top 10 team out the gate. What can help him? He drafted JT Tuimoloau originally which was a great pick (that I suggested him to draft if he had the chance). But with the redo he gets to get a even more impactful super athlete in Marvin Harrison Jr. who falls from 2nd all the way to 7th overall in this what if scenario!
Pick 8
Original: Commanders- OL Joe Alt
What If: Lions- DL Damon Payne Jr.
Originally the Lions traded pick 8 for picks 22 and 28 of this draft to the Commanders. Who selected OL Joe Alt 8 overall. Lions ended up using one of those picks to acquire QB Dad Prescott from the Cowboys. In this What if scenario they keep 8 and maybe find another way to get Dad Prescott since they decide to take the DT Damon Payne in this draft who is a solid pick!
Pick 9
Original: Chiefs- WR Emika Egbuka
What If: 49ers- WR Jalin Hyatt
The 49ers made a head strong decision last draft when he traded his future 1st for multiple picks during that draft including a 2nd or two and maybe other picks. Either way he gave up pick 9 overall in the PML draft to the Chiefs which gave them 2 top 10 picks. With pick 9 they took Emika Egbuka but if the 49ers retained their pick they would’ve went WR but not the same one. They would’ve gotten their original 4th overall pick Jalin Hyatt at 9!
Pick 10
Original: Packers- OL Amarius Mims
What If: Saints- TE Brock Bowers
Pick 10 was passed around like a h*e. Original it belonged to the the Saints but they traded it to the Chargers for Joey Bosa, a 3rd round pick, a 5th round pick and a future 7th round pick. From there the Chargers turned pick 10 into Quay Walker and a 2nd round pick after trading it to the Packers. What if the Saints stood at 10? Well their front offense let me know Brock Bowers would’ve been a Saint if that happened.
Pick 11
Original: Bears- TE Gee Scott Jr.
What If: Falcons- WR Xavier Worthy
Originally the Bears traded 4 to the 49ers for 5 and a 2nd. Then moved pick 6 for to the Colts for picks 11 and a 2nd. Pick 11 was acquired by the Colts from a trade last season that sent Jonathan Taylor to the Falcons for their 1st last season, the 1st from this season (11) and a 2nd round pick last season. So a lot of movement for this pick as well. In this scenario the Falcons take the speedster out of Texas Xavier Worthy.
Pick 12
Original: Bears- DL Damon Payne Jr.
What If: Bears- DL JT Tuimoloau
I wanted to just put Gee Scott Jr. here for the Bears because it was such an awful pick but lets give him his second chance in this what if scenario. With his second chance he hits an obvious home run by selecting the National Champion JT Tuimoloau! (Nods with approval)
Pick 13
Original: Titans- CB Kool-Ade McKinstry
What If: Titans- OL Joe Alt
Titans had a great pick with Kool-Ade but in this what if scenario the Titans weren’t as lucky to get a flashy player like Kool-Ade McKinstry but he is still getting a solid player in OL Joe Alt, the number 1 OL picked in the draft in both scenarios.
Pick 14
Original: Eagles- QB Drake Maye
What If: Eagles- QB Quinn Ewers
Eagles were set on taking a QB first time around and it doesn’t change here. Instead of getting Drake Maye he has to settle on Quinn Ewers which isn’t a bad consolation prize.
Pick 15
Original: Broncos- OLB Savion Jones
What If: Broncos- OLB Barrett Carter
Hiqnsight is 20/20 with this pick, even with Savion Jones still on the board (who he originally picked) the Broncos switch it up to his second round pick Barrett Carter.
Pick 16
Original: Cowboys- OLB Keanu Koht
What If: Cowboys- RB Brealon Allen
Originally the Cowboys grabbed a athletic OLB in Keanu Koht who pairs nicely with Micah Parsons. But this time around with a second chance the Cowboys take the freak athlete of Brealon Allen. Still a reach for the player but others were ready to reach as well.
