Top 5 Users we’ve played this cycle

Through 2 seasons this madden cycle we’ve played about 25+ different opponents which is more than 75% of the league so we have a good idea of what everybody is. Me, Cammy and Mike are coming together to rank our top 5 users in an article. If you feel some type of way, give us a better game next time around.

  1. Mike: This was one of my more lopsided loses of my cycle and honestly of my pml career. If I remember correctly my first 2 plays were turnovers and it was downhill from then. On offense every time I got something going on offense there was a penalty or bad turnover that ended a somewhat promising drive. On defense I couldn’t stop a nosebleed, at any time during that game did I feel like I had a beat on what he was doing. Just a completely dominating performance that will sit with me until we play again. Am I better than mike? H*** yea but he had my number that day and has been the best person I played this cycle.

2. Hypemike: Hypemike is one of those players I don’t have much fun playing against and is a chess match every time. I’m 1-1 vs mike with my loss coming in a playoff game after playing him the previous week. Mike is the best runner in the league and on the defensive side of the ball he makes you really think quickly at times which can be uncomfortable, he has the best blitzes in the league that can make you have some costly turnovers. His ability to use different playbook/schemes and make them work on the fly along with his stick skill has him at 2 for me. I’m coming for him this season but respect everything he did in our 2 matchups thus far.

3 .DK: My matchup with Dk seems like forever ago but it was certain things about our matchup that I remember and respect. Our game ended on him hitting a 61-yard field goal with time expiring but it was his resilience that I remembered more than anything. After being down 14-0 he never wavered and methodically clawed his way back in the game, taking whatever, I gave him and being content with long drives without making any mistakes. I also respect the way he didn’t fold in big moments, every time he needed a drive to tie or a 3rd and long conversion, he came through which many can’t do. I look forward to matching up with him again this year and tying the series 1-1

4. Deebo: Playing deebo was one of my more frustrating games of the season and one of my poorer performances overall. Deebo gave me chances to get back in the game but every time he made a mistake his defense had his back and gave it right back to his offense. Deebo has a top 2 run stick on the league when you add in the defensive side of the ball, the way he’s able to juke into a hole or have the patience to hit the hole at the right time is very impressive along with the way he’s able to connect on almost every hit stick which can be pretty good annoying at times. Overall, do I think he’s a top 5 user out of all the users I’ve played? No but he had a top 5 performance against me this year, so he has to crack the list as only a few have dominated me.

5. Matigy: As much as I hate putting floormat on this list he has to be on for our first matchup of the cycle. I have him at 5 because he played me without my best player in Josh Allen but still made enough plays to impress me. The game was 45 -14 but at one point it was 14-14 before his defense took over. His ability to pass in a game where I took away his biggest strength which is the run game was impressive as you have many coaches who can’t adapt and live and die by a certain playstyle. With Josh Allen I think this is a completely different game but if you force 8 turnovers that’s impressive as that’s something he’s done all cycle. I’m almost certain if I have my Qb when we play again, I’ll come out on top but if you beat me by 30 you deserve to crack the top 5.

Here are my top 5 users I’ve played against this cycle in PML currently. The things that are factored into my list are: Roster, accomplishments, and play style. I have not played everyone yet too, so I did not put anyone here that I did not play this Madden. So, without further or do this is my d*** list.

1. Seahawks – Z A lot of folks gone be like what the h***, but Z is really that guy. I only played him in preseason, but his stick skill is crazy. Also, he has the best HIT STICK by far in PML. I mean it was hard for me to shake him sometimes in open field, he might be the best user tackler in the league pound for pound. Some may say “he ain’t do s*** this year” well I mean look at his team. His roster is full of young guys who need to be developed but time and time again he makes the playoffs in a STACKED NFC conference. I believe he has a playoff win under his belt too. Do not get it twisted, these NFC users have way better rosters than him too. Give Z an even playing field and he might make a couple Super Bowls in the NFC, just saying.

2. Dolphins – Que I honestly could not stop Que when we played this cycle. It was just a matter of time until I forced him into a mistake. His team plays a huge role in his success with speed literally EVERYWHERE but his offense was so hard to stop I had to put him here. Man, zone, anything, he was eating my defense up. Que always had my respect, but he got it even more after that game. When he actually tries with that roster, he is a problem.

3. Bills – Tbandit This is going to shock a lot of people because he has not done s*** with a top 5 team yet respectively, but Bandit is still a major threat. I truly think if I did not knock him out of the playoffs Round 1 this year, he would have made the Super Bowl. I tried to avoid playing him in round 1 but it happened unfortunately. Our matchup was arguably the most important because I feel like we both knew we would make the bowl. His accomplishments are holding him back immensely on this list from the top 2. However, his skill set, and team give him no excuse to produce, and I think he will get a ring this cycle. He was definitely one of my toughest matchups ever so far this cycle which is why he is high here as well. If he doesn’t do something soon with this squad, he will drop on my list without question.

4. Ravens – Keraun Keraun made a super bowl appearance year 1 with Lamar Jackson. He constantly keeps defenses guessing with his run game and big time TE Mark Andrews. His defense is pretty legit as well. His story is pretty great in PML, he is probably the most improved player. He does have a great roster, but he is doing what he is supposed to do with them, similar to DK. It would be great to see If he can duplicate this with a different team, but I think he can if he has a mobile QB. The way he runs his offense it is translatable to other dual threat QBs.

5. Rams – DK He did win the super bowl which really boosted him on my list for sure. The only thing hurting DK which is why he is at 5 is his roster. The concepts he runs are hard to stop with a QB with Set Feed Lead and Wide Receivers with abilities that create 5 to 10 yards of separation. His defense is loaded as well with players he has both developed and already had at launch. DK has proven people wrong and won games, controversial or not he has cemented himself in the PML ranks. I think the only way he can get into the upper echelon of greats is to do this with a team that is not loaded. He went from the Chiefs to the Rams. Two teams that made the super bowl in real life THAT YEAR. I feel like DK would love the challenge of a worse roster as well to prove himself and attempt to gain that higher tier of respect amongst his peers.

1. DK Man DK is plain out a dog. When we started this cycle of PML he was my prediction of being the new mole, kmac, kmfo. He puts so much effort and time into the game that he’s just a beast now. His offense is very well layered, but his defense is what makes him a huge problem. He has a crazy scheme that beat the dog p*** out of me and I’m happy I don’t have to face him again this cycle because that man made me look like I belonged on the carousel.

2. King ke Me and ke have the most fire battles together and when I’m playing against him, he is one of the few people who really make me try to use my brain and create a scheme to get the ball rolling against him. The man has such a great defensive mind and when it comes to offense, he really knows how to use the players that’s on his team to his advantage and to use them properly too. Cheers to the many more battles we will have together because it’s only going to make us both better.

3. Hype mike Mike is a special dude on the sticks and each game we had this year came down to nail biters (I got a stacked roster he has a weak roster, but I still beat that a** in playoffs) There’s really no way to stop this man on offense though… You kind of got to hope for him to make a bad read or keep up with him in a shootout and if you are able to match him in a shootout eventually, he will slip up and make a mistake cause the man not bullet proof. But Mike is by far the best stick user in the league he’ll be juking the ai and you out of your seat that’s how good he is. I can’t wait till game #3 so I can beat his a** and take the lead.

4. Tbandit Even though I beat him in playoffs Tbandit took a p*** on me then ignited my a** on fire in the regular season. I keep saying that he’s really only missing one thing in his game to help excel him to the Superbowl and that’s his run game. He’s not even a bad runner the dude got stick he just refuses to stick to it. Once he runs a more balanced offense this man will take off because it’ll allow him to shine even more at what he does best and that’s passing. Super talented dude who mental blocks himself from achieving greatness.

5. Dloyd For the life of me I cannot figure this guy out on both sides of the ball. He likes to say he’s playing for fun but when he plays it seems like the dude wanna kill me and hurt my feelings. He plays super disrespectful football it’s gross… that s*** aint fun DLOYD! In all seriousness though Dloyd excels in PML because of his mind for football and ability to confuse you on both offense and defense. You never know what he’s going to do most of the time because he’s super unpredictable in his calls
