Can you talk about the development of Gee Scott Jr. so far?
He has a long way to go, but he already looks faster now than he does in college. our hope is that he develops quickly and is ready to roll as we get the season going. We are going to need him this year if we want to improve from last season. He came in underweight, so he will need some time to get used to the NFL physicality.
What is the status of Aki Ogunbiyi and when is he set to return?
He will miss the start of the season, but should be able to return after a couple weeks. We are confident that his backup will be able to fill his spot. We expect AKi to spend his time in the film room, working on run blocking and hand placement. We are excited about his future but it's not worth jeopardizing anything right now.
How do you see the competition level in the NFC North currently?
I think it is very high level, but all teams have a difficult schedule this year. This is our best chance yet to make the playoffs in the NFC, but now we have to go out an do it. We will be relying on a lot of young guys, but we are confident they are ready.
