Award Predictions with Fallen and Nef

pMVP: Lamar Jackson
One of the leagues best players playing for one of the leagues best teams. The Ravens offense runs through Lamar on the ground and through the air, and as their WR develop along with an elite OL and one of the best TE in the league I think we will see a repeat winner from season 1. Honorable mentions: Justin Fields, going to a new team where he will likely be used much more as a runner. CJ Stroud, I think this is the season the Seahawks win the NFC West and Stroud will be a big reason why.

OPOY: Blake Corum
One of the most impressive seasons that I have seen from a rookie came from Blake Corum last season. Defenses still have to worry about Tyreek and Waddle, and I think that helps Corum out tremendously. He has the breakaway speed and his other attributes are just getting better. He’s running behind a pretty stout offensive line as well. Honorable mentions: Kyle Pitts, he missed a bunch of last season and I think the Falcons are excited to use him. Derrick Henry, Maybe now the Eagles will run their offense through one of the best offensive lines and running backs in the league.

DPOY: Micah Parsons
Parsons is maybe the best defender in the league. He combines elite closing speed with that edge threat ability that allows him to get in so fast. I expect him to get more than 20 sacks, while leading a Cowboys team that badly wants to make the playoffs. Honorable mentions: Isaiah Simmons, he was an absolute monster last season and I expect it to be the same this year.

OROY: QB Quinn Ewers
Ewers is going to a great situation with plenty of weapons to get the ball to. He has an elite OL, and a head coach that is more than capable of winning. Even if he doesn’t get a dev he still has good enough stats to be productive from the beginning. Honorable mentions: Brock Bowers, I think he’s going to have a great season but the award would go to his QB. Keaton Mitchell, he could be this seasons corum, just don’t know how much fallen will run the ball.

DROY: FS James Williams
Williams is the obvious pick as he is one of the biggest freak athletes in the league, and plays such a valuable position at sublb. He is immediately a top 2 user in the game with Isaiah Simmons and will be playing on a team with a lot of big games. He also impacts the game in both the run and pass. Honorable Mentions: Korey Foreman the best edge in the class and he’s filling a big role. Damon Payne, I had to get one of my guys on here, he should make a big impact on a revamped Bears front.

COTY: Bubba
I think this is the season that bubba makes his way back to the playoffs and starts to make some noise in the AFC. The team is now back and ready after hitting reset with the Henry trade, and I think Malik Willis is ready to make that jump. Honorable mentions: Z, I think he moves up in that division. Me, hehe

  • MVP – HB Jonathan Taylor The Atlanta Falcons added Tyquan Thorton to their team this off-season and it adds a deep threat to beat teams over the top. I think teams are going to be less tempted to press and storm the line of scrimmage because of Thorton’s speed. It will open up the running lanes for Jonathan Taylor, afterall he is a 99 overall back. Greeny gets back to his bread and butter and Taylor rushes for over 2000 yards and the Falcons make the playoffs this season.

Offensive Player of the Year – QB Justin Fields We all saw this highlight of Fields swimming around the Vikings defender for a rushing touchdown. HypeMike is going to have Fields thriving in this offense and I am predicting that he’s going to lead all quarterbacks in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns this season. Fields will also be top 6 in passing yards and top 10 in passing touchdowns.

Defensive Player of the Year – LE Cameron Jordan The addition to Joey Bosa is going to benefit Cameron Jordan the most. Jordan is going to see far less double teams and his edge threat elite ability will always give him the benefit against any individual linemen. Jordan will see more block sheds than he has all cycle long and his instant rebate ability will keep his passing points at all bars all season long. Jordan is going to flirt with Von Miller’s record of 27 sacks in a season.

  • Offensive Rookie of the Year – QB Quinn Ewers JcClutch has really revamped his offense and Ewers falling to him was a Godsend. He had an inferior quarterback in Will Levis last season and he was still able to make the playoffs. Brock Bowers and Kayshon Boutte give Ewers a lot to work with, especially against man coverage. I think the Colts are going to have a balanced attack this season, but they will also be one of the league’s highest offenses in total yards and points scored. Ewers is going to have one of the best rookie seasons ever seen in PML.

Defensive Rookie of the Year – SS Alton Julian Seriously, how did Julian fall to the third round? He’s a 91 speed eligible sub linebacker with 93 jumping and 91 hitpower. Cammy is going to have him on the field all three downs and the schedule this season aside from playing the NFC East has favourable written all over it. Ashtyn Davis broke the single season interception record with 17 interceptions season 1 and I think we can see similar production out of this very talented rookie.

Coach of the Year – JcClutch You really can’t argue with the way that JcClutch has built this team from the ground up. Matt Ryan was an aging mess and despite losing his superstar back in Jonathan Taylor, he was able to replace him with a superstar back of his own. There are little to no holes on this Colts team and JcClutch is going to take full advantage by winning his division and making a very deep playoff run.

    Nef:

  • MVP- Justin Fields I’m going with a surprise pick with Justin Fields who recently got sent to the Jacksonville Jaguars from the Chicago Bears this past offseason. Looking at the Jaguars they have all the weapons a quarterback needs to be successful and a coach that knows how to use all his weapons. HypeMike is a great coach that will find a way to exploit all that he has in his arsenal to take Fields to the next level.

    Runner Up- Josh Jacobs

OPOY- Johnathan Taylor The Falcons are only going to go as far as their SSX running back Jonathan Taylor. That being said I think this year will be a good one for the dirty birds. I have Taylor winning the Offensive Player of the Year this year and leading the Falcons to a division title. Maybe even into a pretty good playoff run.

    Runner Up- RB Blake Corum

DPOY- DB Kyle Hamilton Kyle Hamilton just got abilities this past offseason. Good ones at that too. The freak safety earned Lurker and Reach Elite. Making him a guy who can do both. Stop the run and defend the pass. With coach Ke controlling that defense I have no doubts Hamilton will get busy this season. Especially in a division that clearly has two users that like to give the ball away through the air.

    Runner Up- LB Jalen Graham

  • OROY- TE Brock Bowers I love the pickup of Brock Bowers for the Colts. He quietly has one of the better passing attacks in PML. With an addition like Bowers I expect nothing but great things out of the TE. He still has Kayshon Boutte, Zach Charbonet and a strong offensive line to help create some space for the TE to take advantage of his 1 on 1 matchups and cause terror in the AFC South and in the AFC in general.

    Runner Up- QB Caleb Williams

DROY- DB Alton Julian Bengals got their sub linebacker in this past draft in Alton Julian who is a freak athlete in his own right. With excellent size, speed and quickness he is a defensive coaches dream. Not to mention (like I said with Kyle Hamilton) he’s in a division where turnovers will be at an abundance. Will it be enough to push him over the top as the Defensive Rookie of the Year? I believe so!

    Runner Up- Kool-Ade McKinstry

COTY- Jaguars (hypemike) This is an easy one for me honestly. Because even though we know the team got better with his additions based on how he plays. The game doesn’t necessarily know it. Meaning they’ll award him “overachieving” with this run down Jaguars roster. Even though it’s his own fault for not being a content guy or much of a team builder. But one this is for sure. On the stick HypeMike means business and I think the addition of Justin Fields will push him even further into greatness.

    Runner Up- Seattle (Z)
