What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
The keys to victory in our week 2 match up with the Eagles was to limit turnovers. We learned from the week 1 victory vs the Steelers that our defense is finally built to keep teams from putting up big numbers against us. This means the offence just had to do their job in protecting the ball and executing our gameplan so that we can put points on the board. The run game was successful and our defense played lights out. That's how we secured our victory in week 2.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Steelers last week?
It was very easy playing against the Steelers last week. Their coaching staff hasn't really expanded their playcalling in a few seasons so we knew what we needed to do in order to score and keep them off the boards. With the exception of a turnover which gave them a short field, the Pittsburgh offense didn't really give us any problems.
Can you talk about the development of Tyleik Williams so far?
So far Tyliek has been developing at a rapid pace. When we drafted him out of Ohio State we assumed he would be one of those players who could adapt quickly to the NFL game and he's done just that. Developing at a Start pace, we're sure that Tyleik is a player this defense will be able to depend on for cycles to come.
