Madden is a weird game when it comes to ratings. Between awareness and archetypes and other useless stats like break sack, players overalls in the game are very skewed from how there attributes are and how they most often play. I decided to take the core 7 stats that truly matter from all 32 PML starting QBs and see who goes up and who goes down.
Formula: (Throw Power + SAC + MAC + DAC + TOR + TUP + PAC)/7
This gives a more accurate rating of the player’s abilities and we can see who is benefitting from high awareness or other useless attributes
Note: I thought about including speed and other attributes related to running, but even though it is a physical stat like throw power, it doesn’t impact their ability as a quarterback. Speed is nice to have, but is more of a preference that doesn’t actually matter if they can throw well enough.
The Adjusted Movement
Most of the quarterbacks go up in overall, some slightly and some a good chunk, but this is just a result of high throw powers on quarterbacks rated lower as the high overall quarterbacks in game are still the highest overalls, but they move down slightly or stay neutral because their throw power matches or is lower than their overall. These movements are also based on rounded overalls, up or down to the nearest whole number.

Conclusion
The lower overall the quarterback is in game, the more he goes up in adjusted overall, but aside from some small outliers, the order of highest overall to lowest stays pretty similar to what is in game. Like I said in the beginning, that’s a product of including throw power which is generally higher than players overalls and when you’re taking into account way lower rated players, even an average throw power boosts them. It is an essential throwing attribute though, so I won’t redo it without that. I’ll paste the whole spreadsheet below so you can see what stats influenced certain players. This “experiment” stemmed from me thinking Quinn Ewers’s attributes were so much better than that of a 77 overall and seeing how he had 67 awareness and 73 break sack, this felt like a good idea. I was proved right as Ewers improvement to his adjusted overall was tied for the highest while starting at the highest base overall of all quarterbacks who improved +10 like him. He moved to tied at rounded 87 with Kyler Murray and Daniel Jones and just 0.43 behind Caleb Williams who does have 93 speed and is an X-Factor but still impressive regardless.
