Each week we take a look at the leagues top individual performers and try to forecast whether they’ll be eligible for a dev game in the following week.
- Tariq Castro-Fields – CB, Washington Commanders: Against the Atlanta Falcons this normal dev slot CB reeled in 3 interceptions, returning 1 for a touchdown adding to the Commanders drubbing of the Falcons. Look for him to have a chance to upgrade to a star next week.
2. Jalen Hyatt – WR, SanFrancisco 49ers: The Rookie out of Tennessee hauled in 129 rec yards on 4 catches, 2 resulting in TD’s. In only his 2nd game of the season this young Rookie is putting up career numbers and he could be on the path to becoming a Superstar with a similar type of performance in week 3.
3. Tua Tagovailoa – QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: the coaching Staff for the buccs has a knack for making sure their QB can find the end zone. This skill was on full display vs the Carolina Panthers as Tua accounted for 5 passing TD’s, with 279 yards. A 5 TD performance is rare and could have the newly acquired Tua in line to elevate to SuperStar status in their week 3 game.
4. Jayson Kearse – SS, Houston Texans: In a week 3 dismantling of the Philadelphia Eagles, Kearse stole 3 passes from the Eagles Rookie QB. In his 8th year out of Clemson, a performance like this could see Kearse having the chance to upgrade to star status next week.
5. Leighton Vander Esch – MLB, Houston Texans: This guy was everywhere on the field in week 2, finishing with 9 tackles, 3 for loss, a Sack, an Interception, and a Touchdown. This type of breakout came could have Vander Esch eyeing Superstar status in week 3.
6. Quentin Skinner – WR, Cincinnati Bengals: In a tough come back win vs the Ravens, this Rookie out of Kansas snagged 7 catches for 112 yards and 2 TD’s. In an offense that already features Superstars and X-Factor’s at many positions, Skinner could be in line to join the club with a duplicate performance in week 3.
7. Daniel Jones – QB, NY Giants: In an amazingly tight match against the Dallas Cowboys, Daniel Jones performed far and above the rest. Finishing the game with 4 touchdowns on 20/27 passes with 356 yards, adding another 107 rushing with a TD on the ground, next week could see Jones finally making it to Superstar status.
