Analysis 1-16: Jcclutch
Analysis 17-32: Arod
Rams (3-0): The Super Bowl champs took the close win against the Cardinals thanks to some strong defense and Cam Akers down the stretch. DK hasn’t suffered a super bowl hangover and the Rams now head to Chicago to continue their strong start on the back to back trail.
Seahawks (3-0): The NFC West is by far the best division in PML to start the season as Z took down the Giants and looks really good so far. The Seahawks get the Falcons next to stay undefeated and an NFC contender early
Dolphins (2-1): Que has these Dolphins rolling with Devin Leary’s regression not playing a real factor as of now. They took down the Jaguars in a rematch of last year’s AFC championship game as both sides of the ball played really well and their special teams didn’t give up 3 kick return touchdowns. The Dolphins get the Texans next who may have the same record as them, but aren’t really in the same class.
Jaguars (2-1): HypeMike finally saw Justin Fields struggle as the Jaguars lost to the Dolphins but the game was pretty close. Will the paranoid QB and the suspect offensive line continue to fall against a talented Colts front 7 or will they bounce back and establish division dominance?
Giants (2-1): Daniel Jones followed up his masterclass with a midsterpiece. The Giants still played pretty solid against a Seahawks team that looks dangerous. Cook will get a chance to pick back up with a win against a Saints team that has started ice cold but may be hungry.
Bengals (3-0): Cammy comes in as the lowest of the undefeated teams left but is still rightfully near the top in total. The Bengals have looked very talented on offense with Quentin Skinner making a new 3 headed receiving threat and the defense has played better than they did last season. They get their first NFC test against the Commanders
Cowboys (2-1): The Cowboys eeked out a win over the Commanders as the NFC East continues to be a mess of competitiveness (for the most part). Jefe is getting it done with Tyree Jackson and against talented defenses but now they head to play the Cardinals in a matchup that will most likely be important later.
Ravens (2-1): The mute bowl and rematch of this cycle’s first super bowl is Ke and the Ravens. They looked very good the whole way through and led by more if it wasn’t for some big pass plays the defense gave up to get Odjabo his X factor for keeping the Bucs under 50 rush yards. Now the Ravens get the Eagles in what will most likely boost this terrific team even more.
Commanders (1-2): A tough opening schedule has Wimmy under .500 through 3 weeks but the losses haven’t been bad and the team looks good despite some Sam Howell struggles. It doesn’t get easier as the Commanders take on the undefeated Bengals who have one of the league’s top offenses. Can Howell keep up if he needs to throw?
Packers (2-1): KingMike has the Packers first in the NFC North but these aren’t the same Packers that got the NFC 1 seed last year. Hendon Hooker has not been good but the defense has been elite so if the offense fixes itself, they’re still a deep playoff contender. They get the surging 49ers who have feasted on turnovers next week, though.
Colts (2-1): I’m going to be honest. Drama’s talk and stat padding of his first two opponents lowkey had me a little concerned. But the game was smooth sailing in a game where the Texans only scored a touchdown in garbage time to make it a 42 point loss instead of a 49 point loss. The Opportunistic defense and clean efficient offense is what’s needed in Indy and it’ll be needed against the tough Jaguars next week.
Bears (2-1): Spdot is having the best start of this cycle for the Bears as their offseason moves have worked so far with Jordan Love playing well and the defense being much improved in a win over the Saints. The NFC is an uphill battle and they now play the defending champ Rams in a game that’ll have playoff implications down the line.
Broncos (2-1): Deebo absolutely crushed and violated the Jets who had started out 2-0. Everything was clicking defensively and it made for a very easy offensive showing as well. They don’t get an easy matchup now as the play the Bucs who are still a solid team despite their slow start.
Cardinals (2-1): Dlloyd took a tough loss to the reigning champs but the Cardinals still look much improved from last season and can definitely be a playoff team. They take on another potential playoff team in the Cowboys next week and it will be a good test on if they can be legit in the long run.
49ers (2-1): The entire NFC west is in the top 15 and it’s rounded out by Ant and the 49ers. They had another come from behind victory, this week over the Lions to keep pace in this elite division. They’ll have to play better overall and play a good complete game this week though as they take on the Packers and their stout defense.
Raiders (1-2): Finally in the win column after a tough few weeks to start the season. Should get to .500 without a problem after the Chargers visit week 4. Possible rest game for some key players. The Chargers did beat the Raiders in season 1 so who knows.
Vikings (1-2): CEO will sneak up on you and before you know it he will be inside the top 10 of the Power Rankings. The rush game is up and running as they currently rank 3rd in the league in rushing yards per game.
Buccaneers (1-2): Came out on the losing end of the Mute Bowl and have dropped to 1-2 on the season. Luckily I wouldn’t hit the panic button just yet as I still believe it is their division to lose.
Bills (1-2): Josh Allen was suspended and the Bills dropped week 3 to the Patriots in Foxboro. They will have another week without the superstar quarterback as they are in action against the Jets week 4. From the looks of things, it will be a tough matchup without Allen.
Jets (2-1): Things got ugly fast as they dropped their first game this season to the Broncos by 51 points. The Trevor Lawnrence honeymoon is officially over as the newly added quarterback finished with a 0TD and 7INT statline in the blowout loss.
Chargers (2-1): Back to back victories by 3 points has the Chargers sitting at 2-1 and atop of the AFC West. I’m not fully sold that this team will compete in the long run this season. Look for HD and the Chargers to start their fall into their usual position in the basement after a week 4 matchup versus Matigy and the Raiders in some divisional action. If you follow the draft market, right now would be a great time to buy low on the Chargers 1st round pick.
Texans (2-1): After back to back weeks of stat padding, the Texans get blown out by the Colts 52-10. Luckily JC showed our newly appointed commish how to play the game with class and respect when you have a big lead. It’s called integrity Drama.
Patriots (1-2): Solid week 3 victory against the Josh Allen-less Bills moves the Patriots up a few spots this week on the Power Rankings. They have a good opportunity to keep the momentum going with a week 4 matchup against Arod and the Steelers in the Najee Harris revenge game. Spoiler Alert* Do not be surprised if Kelee Ringo finishes the season as the AFCs number 1 cornerback this season and earns All-pro honors. The man is lighting it all on so many different areas of the field.
Panthers (1-2): The JT express stalls against the Eagles in week 3 action. They had no answer for Derrick Henry (but who does?) Christian McCaffrey took a back seat to Brayden Willis as the franchise RB only had two carries and 0 receptions. Something to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
Falcons (1-2): I called it early in the season- the Falcons will struggle this season based on the schedule alone. Sitting at 1-2, things don’t get any easier with Z, Codes, and Cook all on the upcoming slate. They need to squeak out a victory from those 3 games to stay in the divisional hunt.
Titans (0-3): Are we writing the Titans off this season? They have a confidence builder week 4 against the Browns before a difficult stretch of games presents itself. This may be another draft year in Tennessee.
Steelers (1-2): The Steelers have not had back to back wins since weeks 2 and 3 of 2022. This trend did not change as they dropped their week 3 matchup with the Raiders 41-10. The ageless one, Tom Brady, threw 4 interceptions and the offense stalled as the Raiders pulled away in the 2nd half. They have a chance to get back to .500 with a week 4 matchup against Nef and the Patriots followed by a game with the Chiefs.
Lions (0-3): Dak Prescott watch. 6TD/15INT. Lions are 0-3 and are being phased out of any divisional crown talk before we even reach the quarter mark of the season.
Chiefs (1-2): The Chiefs are falling, and falling quickly. At some point, preserving the abilities of Pat Mahomes has to become a goal for the season. He is just too good to lose the abilities he has. With all that said, the Chiefs are still in a position to tie for 1st place after their week 4 game versus JT and the Panthers.
Eagles (1-2): CB pops his PML cherry with his first victory week 3 in Carolina. Eagles protected the ball while showcasing the skills and talents of Derrick Henry. Henry is now averaging a whooping 8.8ypc. So we’re saying every time he runs the ball it is just about a 1st down? Keep feeding him the rock.
Saints (0-3): Luckily at 0-3 they still only sit 1 game out of first place. Lets get it together Burn, I expected big things from you this season. It’s not too late. Bosa and Jordan sack total now sits at 7.5 combined.
Browns (0-3): They could very well be 0-6 after a 3rd of the season by the looks of the schedule. Glad to see Anthony Schwartz finally involved in the offense after 2 seasons of little to no productio
