Seahawks (4-0): The last undefeated NFC team, the Seahawks currently sit atop the stacked NFC and NFC west thanks to a close win over the Falcons. Z has gotten CJ Stroud take that sophomore step and they look to continue their conference and division lead against the 49ers who were just blown out. (JC)
Bengals (4-0): The last undefeated AFC team, Cammy has Joe Burrow and Quentin Skinner looking like Tom Brady and Randy Moss with no signs of slowing down after beating a talented Commanders team handily. Joe Burrow might be on his way to breaking Stafford’s record he set last year as the Bengals take on the Browns in what is sure to not be close. (JC)
Jaguars (3-1): The Jaguars made their case to lock down the division and then some with Justin Fields having nearly 500 yards in a game they never let up against the Colts. It was a nice bounceback but they play the Bears next in a quarterback revenge game for both sides. (JC)
Cowboys (3-1): Micah Parsons had 5 sacks as the Cowboys steamrolled the Cardinals on their way to get right back in the division race and look to truly contend. Jefe has brought his A game this season and I don’t think he slows down against a struggling Titans team. (JC)
Rams (3-1): The SB champs suffered their first loss against a Bears team that is fighting an uphill battle. I didn’t get to watch this game but the box score says it was close so I’m sure DK was still playing very well but he now sits 2nd in the NFC West. He gets to play a Bills team that hasn’t looked that good recently so a bounce back should be coming. (JC)
Giants (3-1): Cook played a pretty complete and easy game against the currently lowly Saints. The Giants seem to be very deep and capable on both sides which is what’s needed to contend. They take on the Vikings next and should be able to win.
Ravens (3-1): The beat down we expected happened and then some. Ke has these Ravens doing well but they unfortunately sit just behind the Bengals right now so they’ll have to keep moving against a Chargers team that has been turning heads. (JC)
Bears (3-1): The PML Bears have finally arrived as a result of that hectic offseason Spdot had them go through. Jordan Love is balling and the rookies and other acquisitions are showing out. They take on the AFC top dog Jaguars in another test of their ability to contend and be consistent.
Packers (3-1): Mike finally stepped up and had a truly dominant win against the 49ers as Hendon Hooker settled in. The Packers now find themselves in a race for the division and play the Cardinals next to keep their slight edge.
Colts (2-2): Had a big opportunity to take down big brother early in the season and make a statement in the division. The Colts had a tough time matching the Jaguars firepower and found themselves on the losing end of a 52-42 shootout. Ewers continues to shine as he continues to protect the ball and put up points in Indy. (Arod)
Dolphins (2-2): Que, why didn’t you slide? It wasn’t even 3rd down yet and before that holding call the run game was working very well. I didn’t watch the first three quarters though and they clearly weren’t that good either if the situation was what it was. I still think the Dolphins are top tier contenders especially in a weaker AFC and they get to play the Jets next to establish their reign of the AFC East. (JC)
Chargers (3-1): Are the Chargers for real? I wasn’t convinced early as they won 2 close ones by 3pts, but the big divisional win was enough to convince me that they may be competing for not only a wildcard position, but a divisional title. Based on the schedule, the division is HDs to lose- it is up to him to execute. Herbert is playing at a high level that places the Chargers 3rd in the league in passing. However, they rank 32nd in rushing and this will not be a sustainable recipe for success if they remain ranked at the bottom. (Arod)
Buccaneers (2-2): After a tough start to the season the Bucs are now at .500 and I think will begin to separate themselves from the pack. Should be another crown for Tampa and the possibility of no true contender to make them work for it. (Arod)
Commanders (1-3): Not the norm we see the Commanders get blown out as they drop to 1-3. The season is a game of quarters and quarter 1 just happened to be a tough one. It is not over by any means in Washington and Wimmy will bounce back and find himself in the playoff hunt. (Arod)
Broncos (2-2): Broncos find themselves chasing the Chargers a game out. The Chargers have a more favorable schedule, so the Broncos need to be on points and take care of business the rest of the season. (Arod)
Bills (2-2): Carson Wentz went 1-1 filling in for the suspended Josh Allen. Allen is set to return in week 5 against the defending super bowl champion Rams. Maybe not the kindest welcome but if Tbandit wants to prove he is a playoff contender, here is his chance.
Texans (3-1): Drama pulled out a hard fought win against one of the best teams in the AFC and the league in the Dolphins. Props to him, but I still am not sold on him because of my own experiences. The Texans take on the Lions who are coming off a win and looking to not fall back to the depths of PML, I expect the Texans to win but drama can’t underestimate the competition. (JC)
Jets (2-2): Lost a big divisional game in heartbreaking fashion week 4 to the Josh Allen-less Buffalo Bills. Missed a golden opportunity to assert their place in the division early. They will have another chance in week 5 when they travel to Miami.
Cardinals (2-2): Dlloyd and the Cardinals have dropped to 2-2 after a week 4 game I assume they will not look back at- ever. Kyler Murray finished the day with 168 yards passing with 0TD and 6INT and looked lost against a stellar Cowboys defense that sealed this game early.
49ers (2-2): Maybe they were just not ready. A lot of talk about the NFC West being the premier division in PML saw two of its members get blown out by top users in the conference. The big test against GB sends the 49ers back to the drawing board.
Patriots (2-2): Nef looked destined for a 1-3 start for about 38 minutes of the game against the Steelers which then took a turn and saw the Patriots pull out an overtime victory on a walkoff 17 yards TD run by Tavion Thomas. These are the types of moments that jumpstart a rebuild. Lets see if they can make it three straight when they take on JC and the Colts week 5.
Raiders (1-3): Matigy goes down to the Chargers and now find themselves 2 games out of first place about a quarter into the season. The Raiders’ defense is 27th against the pass and that was illustrated when Justin Herbert carved them up for 432 yards and 5 touchdowns. None of the 5 passing touchdowns were in the redzone either.
Lions (1-3): A very impressive win for the Lions over the Vikings to get a division win and take their first step towards being a winning team. Curt has the ability, he just has to keep it together and limit turnovers. Now he gets a Texans team that can be up and down, look for Dak to have a cleaner than usual game if they want to win. (JC)
Vikings (1-3): CEO is off to his worst start I’ve personally seen him have in PML as the Vikings dropped to the Lions and he now sits in last in the NFC North after he was a wildcard team last season. He better start watching film as he has to take on the Giants who are a top NFC team and falling to 1-4 really makes a turnaround difficult. (JC)
Falcons (1-3): After nearly defeating the undefeated Seahawks in week 4, the Falcons sit at 1-3 and somehow still only find themselves a game out of 1st place. They better make a move before the Buccaneers heat up- which I think will begin just about… now.
Titans (1-3): The Titans got their first win of the season over the Browns but the defense still has to be much better. Outside of the rookie Kool Ade they seem to have only liabilities out there and no matter how good your offense is, that’ll make winning hard. Bubba plays the surging Cowboys who just put up 52 points, this might end poorly.(JC)
Chiefs (2-2): Mahomes looked strong playing as a game manager and not forcing throws into coverage. Statline: 17/21 with 3TD/0INT as the Chiefs picked up win number 2 against the Panthers at home. They have a chance to go above .500 and possibly make a play for 1st in the division after a week 5 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Panthers (1-3): After we all thought the Panthers were destined for a season 3 run, they now find themselves dropping very winnable games. After back to back loses to the Eagles and Chiefs, the Panthers are now stuck in a dilemma- keep chasing the Bucs, or look towards season 4 and 5 keeping the emphasis on player development.
Eagles (1-3): Eagles get trampled by the Ravens in the battle of the birds. Time could be against the new coach if the Eagles don’t show they could compete. Their 3 losses were large blowouts (vs Cowboys 38, vs Texans 41, & vs Ravens 49). The honeymoon phase is closing and you best believe the heat is coming.
Saints (0-4): The Saints have an opportunity to get into the win column in week 5 against the Eagles. However, things could get ugly in New Orleans if they drop this game and fall to 0-5.
Browns (0-4): The offense had a solid game actually but way too many turnovers and they didn’t show up on defense. Hopefully he can integrate into PML fast or we may just hear more questions than answers as they take on the hottest team in the AFC in the Bengals. Maybe Cammy will take it easy on him? (JC)
