5 quarterbacks will join the 60+ interception club this season
Overreaction of reality: Overreaction
As it stands right now, the top 6 quarterbacks on the interception list are Watson/20, Prescott/19, Young/17, Hoocker/17, Murray/16, & Maye/15. A quick projection model has these players finishing as follows: Watson/68, Prescott/65, Young/58, Hooker/58, Murray/54, Maye/51. Based on projections, 2 quarterbacks will throw over 60 interceptions playing at the same base they have through 5 games. These interception numbers are, and have been alarming throughout the entire cycle for the league as a hole. Getting back to the question at hand, I will call it an overreaction as I feel a few of the quarterbacks will get it together this season and the numbers will level off. Do we have 1 or 2 that may surpass 60? I definitely think so but to say 5 would be an overreaction.

The decision to move on from Matthew Stafford is justified
Overreaction or Reality: Reality
It isnt everyday you see a team move on from a superstar x-factor quarterback season 3 for a unproven normal dev rookie- with the Cowboys being an exception of course. The Rams made this decision this season and I am sure it was a difficult one for DK. Looking at the future without sacrificing the present. When you can ball out the way DK does, you could afford to make these kind of decision. The Rams went with D.J.Uiagalelei this season and the Rams havent skipped a beat. The rookie signal called has thrown for 13 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions this season while leading the Rams to a 4-1 record with some impressive victories over the Bears and the Bills. Hats off the DK for having the courage to make such a bold move that could have surely backfired early in the season.

HD and the Chargers will finish over .500:
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The Chargers are 3-2 to start the season, coming off of a tough loss to the Baltimore Ravens. All of their games have been close, with only one game being decided by more than one possession. The close games will prepare them for the remainder of the season. The division is anyone’s game, and all it takes is for one team to put a couple wins together. The schedule for the rest of the season is on the lighter side. To finish with a winning record the Chargers will need to go 6-6 or better, with remaining games against: CIN, DEN, LV, CLE, NE, CAR, PIT, HOU, TB, SF, DEN, KC. The only game that I would be absolutely shocked if the Chargers won is against Tampa, the rest leave a realistic possibility of HD winning.

The NFC South is Officially a TimeShare
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The Buccaneers won the NFC South each of the first two seasons, and the way the standings look right now it doesn’t appear that will be changing anytime soon. The 3 other teams in the division have as many wins as Tampa Bay does, combined. The Bucs already have 2 divisional wins, giving them a clear path to the division this season. A timeshare is not just 3 seasons, but all of the division titles for the cycle. The Buccaneers are also making moves to inject some youth in to their roster in order to remain at the top of the division for the last 2 seasons of the cycle as well. At this point our only hope of Codes not owning the division for all 5 seasons would be season 5 JT.

Najee Harris is a MAJOR disappointment
Overreaction or reality: Reality
The New England Patriots made a major trade in the offseason where they traded their first round pick this year to the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire Najee Harris. With the running game being lackluster the past couple of years a lot of fans and media thought that Najee Harris would be able to rejuvenate this Patriots rushing offense. Boy were they wrong, it may be early in the season but after 5 games Najee only has 212 yards on the ground on 53 attempts. Averaging 4.0 yards per carry. It isn’t a horrible statline but if you are paying a first rounder for a running back he needs to be putting up much better numbers not to be a part of a running back committee. I do believe there is time for this offense to figure out more ways to get Najee involved and maybe they just needed to get used to the running back they brought in. But as of right now he has been a major disappointment.

Justin Herbert will become an X Factor quarterback
Overreaction or reality: RealityJustin Herbert is currently having his best season this cycle and not even just his best season but one of the best seasons out of all the Quarterbacks in PML. After five games in the season he has thrown for the most yards in PML with 1736 while maintaining a passer rating of 115.8. The career resurgence of Justin Herbert has definitely been a huge reason why this Chargers team has been capturing wins and I wouldn’t doubt that he carries this team to the playoffs either. I do think he has a shot at MVP but with only 11 touchdowns and 7 interceptions it’s going to be hard to beat out q uarterbacks who are able to produce more touchdowns in the same amount of time as him. Even if he isn’t able to win MVP at the end of the year I think he will have good enough stats to earn himself an X Factor ability and with that this Chargers team will become even more deadly.
