Season 3 Week 6 PML Power Rankings: Chargers stay in the top 15 thanks to strong performance, Raiders ranked last among AFC West

No graphics this week. Analysis split up between Arod, JC, and Mali. Graphics will be back next power rankings.

Headline: We still sit at 2 undefeated teams left and just 1 winless team

Headline: Texans are the only team outside the top 10 with a 4-1 or better record

Headline: The 2-3 Commanders and 2-3 Broncos stay in the top half despite losing records

  1. Seahawks (5-0): The Seahawks stay undefeated but it wasn’t easy as they needed a second half comeback against the 49ers. Z has taken a big step this season making those game changing plays and drives and it makes this team the most dangerous it’s been. They play the Patriots next as they look to keep their lead in the NFC West.
  1. Bengals (5-0): The Bengals took care of business against the winless Browns in a game that will only ever be watched by PML junkies and people desperate for tape. Burrow and Skinner have stayed the deadliest duo in PML this season as they’re both on pace for record breaking years. Cammy plays the Chargers next who aren’t the same old Chargers, this could be a close one.
  1. Jaguars (4-1): HypeMike didn’t have a great start in the trade bowl of Justin Fields vs Jordan Love but the Jaguars came out on top of the Bears and maintained their lead in the surprisingly competitive AFC South. They get a bye week before they play the Texans to once again assert their dominance in the division.
  1. Cowboys (4-1): Micah Parsons is an MVP candidate in my opinion right now as he almost single handedly won the Cowboys their game over the Titans this week. Tyree Jackosn and Treveyon Henderson are keeping the offense as a solid balanced threat but the defense is where it’s at right now for Dallas. Jefe plays the struggling Saints next in a game that could get ugly with how many INTs Bryce Young is throwing.
  1. Rams (4-1): The Rookie DJ continues to impress as the Rams have no signs of not being content with one Super Bowl as they thrashed the Bills. DK needs to keep it up with the Seahawks staying ahead of them right now as they play the Buccaneers next.
  1. Giants (4-1): A clutch FG while iced helped the Giants escape with a victory over the Vikings where the defense continued to shine. Cook plays the Falcons next where that defense will have to contain Jonathan Taylor and Kyle Pitts.
  1. Ravens (4-1): Another good team with a slow start but the Ravens got back in control and beat the Chargers despite their great effort. Ke sits behind Cammy in the division right now but gets to play the Browns to help boost his team for when they play again.
  1. Packers (4-1): The Packers pulled out a close win over the Cardinals thanks to some very solid defense and an effective run game. KingMike plays the Lions next as he looks to keep his lead in the NFC North and push Detroit farther away.
  1. Bears (3-2): Spdot took a tough close loss against the Jaguars but the trade definitely looked like a win-win as Brandon Thomas and Jordan Love still have this team very competitive. The Bears play the Titans next who are better than their record indicates but still haven’t looked great so far.
  1. Colts (3-2): The Colts struggled in the first half and Quinn Ewers had his worst game on film so far as I beat the Patriots thanks to a huge second half performance by the defense. We currently sit behind the Jaguars and Texans in the division so every game is important and the Bills are a good opponent up next but the Colts have the heavy advantage on both sides of the LOS.
  1. Dolphins (3-2): Que took down the Jets easily as the Dolphins look to put their unfortunate loss to the Texans behind them and get back on track to contending in the AFC. They have the lead in the AFC East right now and they have a bye before they have to keep that lead against the Bills.
  1. Buccaneers (3-2): Codes pulled out a narrow win against the Falcons thanks to some Tua magic and effective defense. The Bucs look in control of the weak NFC South despite their loss to the Panthers and now get a game with the Rams to see how the better Super Bowl champ is.
  1. Chargers (3-2): HD lost to the Ravens but man did he play good. Justin Herbert is playing like Justin Herbet should be playing for the first time this cycle and I’ll give props for getting Toney to help make that happen. The best special teams by a wide wide margin has also helped as they play the undefeated Bengals to prove themselves as Contenders and remain atop the AFC West another week at least.
  1. Commanders (2-3): The Commanders still don’t look fully like themselves this season but a win against the Panthers is monumental for down the road and they move back towards competing. The uphill battle doesn’t get easier as they play the Giants and they have to start stringing wins if they want to be in the playoff picture.
  1. Texans (4-1): Drama is making a believer out of many with his inspiring play early on the year. He will gain a lot more if he can take down the struggling Vikings week 6. Definitely a prove-me game for the Texans. He’ll have to play a clean game.
  1. Broncos (2-3): This team has a golden opportunity to take the division this year but the consistency just hasn’t been there. We are still waiting to see who will rise to the top of the AFC West. Albert O is playing lights out. The Broncos play the Chiefs next to get an edge over one another in the currently crowded and hectic division.
  1. Bills (2-3): Week 5 against the Rams was a game the Bills needed to show a better performance. They are not consistently competing with the upper tier teams this cycle and it is beginning to show. The game upcoming against the Colts will tell if they are still a contender or not anymore.
  1. Chiefs (3-2):Mali takes down Arod with a solid comeback victory. Hardman was unstoppable as he torched the Steelers for 234 yards and 2 scores. The Chiefs look to take sole possession week 6 with a win and Chargers loss.
  1. Jets (2-3): Again, going back to the consistency, it is just not there yet. The team is trying to justify the Trevor Lawrence move, but at 2-3, the jury is still out. Deja vu continues as 2-0 has turned into 2-3 and potentially worse. They play the Cardinals who have looked very competitive..
  1. Raiders (2-3): Raiders are a force when Josh Jacobs wins wild. Another big game for the lead back as they take down the Broncos in divisional action. Keep it on the ground and this team will be back on top the AFC West. They should be able to against a Panthers team that has been weak despite its competitiveness.
  1. Cardinals (2-3): A solid bounce back effort after a blowout loss the week prior. Although they didn’t come away with the dub, Dlloyd proves he can hang with the best of them. They play the Jets on a 3 game losing streak to stay in the NFC playoff picture that gets so crowded.
  1. 49ers (2-3): Ant looked good for most of the game, but the defense collapsed and the passing game was no where near as effective as the run game and the 49ers fell to the still undefeated Seahawks. Still, this team looks competitive and they get the Jets also on a 3 game skid after their bye..
  1. Patriots (2-3): Patriots played a tight game vs the Colts for a half and then wound up losing by 20. Coach Nef has openly called the Najee trade a failure as there is more of a split in the backfield going on in New England. Something to keep an eye on.
  1. Vikings (1-4): It’s not common we see a CEO led team in the bottom percentile of anything. His schedule is tough-  but these are games he won in previous cycles. Now the Vikings play the Texans in what is a very intriguing game for how people perceive these guys.
  1. Falcons (1-4): An article posted called the NFC South a Buccaneers led time share division.  Greeny disagreed. Maybe this sparks a mid-season run from the Falcons. Would love to see anyone from the division step up to the plate.
  1. Lions (1-4):  Prescott now has 19 interceptions on the season and the Lions are sitting at the bottom of the division. Its official, this move wasn’t it.  Maybe they can take down the Packers as they look to improve.
  1. Titans (1-4): They played pretty solid, but had no answer for Micah Parsons. Bubba and the Titans just don’t seem like they’re going to compete this season and they have a Bears team next who’s looked a lot better than they have.
  1. Panthers (1-4): They’re playing good teams close, but dropping to teams they should beat. Very confusing times in Carolina. Also, would love to see more Marvin Harrison Jr. highlights. They were exciting early in the season.
  1. Saints (1-4): Burn gets into the win column week 5 with win over the Eagles. The Saints at 1-4, currently sit 2 games out of the division lead. Maybe it’s not too late. The Cowboys are not a good matchup for them though.
  1. Steelers (1-4): Third game in a row Arod blows a 3 score lead in the 4th. After holding on against the Browns in overtime, they take back L’s to the Patriots and Chiefs. The misery continues in the Steel City.
  1. Eagles (1-4):  The defense is getting burned weekly as the Eagles rank near the bottom in all defensive categories. This makes it difficult to feature Henry when they’re constantly playing from behind. They have their bye week before playing the Browns to prove they belong and aren’t the bottom of the barrel.
  1. Browns (0-5): Still winless on the season. One bright spot has-been the emergence of Anthony Schwartz. Had a big week 5 filling up the stat sheet with 223 yards and 2 touchdowns. I don’t see them getting their first win against the Ravens next week.
