Transcript: Patriots Head Coach Press Conference

Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Seahawks last week?

Seahawks provided a-lot of challenges last week. They're undefeated for a reason. Walking into it we knew it would be a tough matchup and it would take some scheming to be able to stand toe to toe with one of the best teams this season. After coming out just short its tough to hang our hat on anything but we put in a great team effort and have shown improvements week to week. Now we just gotta provide a full 40 minute effort to really prove we belong as in the conversation for PML playoffs.

How is the team handling the bye week this week?

Bye week is time for extra preparation as we look into our week 8 matchup versus the San Francisco 49ers. There's no time for us to sit around and rest when we sit here at 2-4 fighting for our playoff hopes so early in the season. The boys will be tired but its necessary for us to return to mid season form.

Can you talk about the development of Caleb Williams so far?

It's not easy for a young quarterback in his first season in PML. He's be developing nicely but our coaching staff has to be better to make his life even more easier. He provides a nice dynamic our team hasnt ever had. So we hope for his progress to continue as we get better as a team around him.

How has Micah Hyde’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

Despite our record our defense has been performing better than it has in the past. This past week against the Seahawks we put together a solid plan defensively and Micah is a key component to that. His ability to read and diagnose a play on the fly provides leadership to the young rookies on the field, as well as the ones watching from the sideline. We hope his lead by example approach will life these young talented players we have to the next level.
