What were the keys to the team’s victory this week?
The keys to victory this week was to just play simple football and protect the ball while trusting the scheme. These chargers couldn’t tackle the wide side of a barn so we just have to minimize mistakes and make him earn his points on offense. Which we didn’t do a great job of, but the offense was able to run all over them with 3 players over 50 rushing yards and Josh with 112 on the ground. Overall averaging 180 on the ground is a great sign for us.
Can you summarize what it was like playing against the Chiefs last week?
The chiefs are very similar to the chargers in terms of what our gameplan is. Neither of them can stop the run game, we win the battle of the trenches. They will give you your opportunities so all you gotta do is be patient and make the game simple. Give my playmakers the ball in space is important bc of the poor tackling they have.
Can you talk about the development of Jayden Daniels so far?
Jayden Daniels is a stud. He leads the league in cmp% and around top 5 in most category’s that don’t require volume. He’s been one of the most efficient passers in the NFL thru his first 9 games in the league. He’s still improving and the confidence is soaring. His legs have done huge things for us these last few games. Raiders brass feel like they got the best QB in the draft class
RB Josh Jacobs is so impressive, how hard he runs is so apparent. What else about his skill set makes him special?
Josh is the heart and soul of this team, everyone around the league knows it. He has daggered a few games with run after run just pounding the rock until we win already this season. But the one skill set that separates him from the likes of Najee Harris or David Montgomery is ball carry vision. Josh jacobs is just running free and getting huge chunks without even getting touched. He leads the league in 20+ yard carrys and is near the top in yards and yards per carry
