Afc East a 4 team race? Browns finally giving the Afc North some smoke?

Arod

Arod has checked out on the cycle

Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction

I would like to address this.  I’ve heard prediction show, chat, and other forums say Arod isn’t invested in this anymore.  Arod can’t be having fun. Arod is checked out, blah, blah, blah.  No, Arod isn’t checked out.  Arod still wakes up regardless of his record, runs his sportsbook, knockout pool, Power Rankings, does his fantasy lineups, immersion system, attribute requests, writes Overreaction & Reality, participates in Breakfast Show, and watches pretty much any PML game he could.  Losing a ton of games does not and will dictate my level of interest.  As long as I am a good standing member of the PML community, win, lose, or draw, I will continue to do my part in the league.  So let it be known, I am as interested as ever whether I have 0 wins or 7 wins.

New Browns will be a player in the AFC North

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

For a new user taking over a neglected roster in season 3, our new Browns user EnglewoodTV sure made a great 1st impression.  Although they lost in the final seconds 39-38 to Wimmy and the Commanders, the new Browns user seemed in control of the entire game before giving up the game in the closing moments.  The offense moved the ball, although many, including his first opponent, openly called his play style MUT and lobbyball.  There will be an adjustment period as there is with all, which could be a main reason he wasn’t able to close out the game, but I totally expect the Browns to compete with the Bengals and Ravens next season for the AFC North title.  PML games are marathons and no lead is safe I would assume is the first lesson he has learned in our league.  Secondly, he didn’t break any rules, but if he wants the respect of his PML peers, the play calling has to be mixed up a bit.  Wimmy openly expressed his frustration with the gun tight formation the Browns were using for the majority of the game.  PML has a learning curve, one that takes a while especially with the addition of our immersion system.  Give it some time and I think we have a competitor in the AFC North. Welcome to PML Englewood and good luck the rest of the way.

The New Browns User is Tanking: Overreaction
Englewood has taken over the Cleveland Browns, and his first game was definitely an interesting one. He was leading for much of the game before some questionable management caused him to lose by 1 point. The main point that I saw as confusing was the decision to pass twice and then go for the 4th and 12 on his own half. I’m going to assume that this is his first time playing in an online CFM and say that that was more of a H2H/Mut decision than one you would typically see from a CFM user. He has a bye week before facing the steelers, and if that game plays out a certain way, then we can have questions about the Browns’ intentions.

JC doesn’t care about defense: Reality
Pretty much all of the highest scoring games this season have been with the Colts involved. That defense is too talented to be giving up this many points, especially after what we saw from the Colts last season. He seems very invested in Quinn Ewers and putting up the best stats that he can with him, and I think that comes with not caring about other aspects of the team. The Colts running game is extremely efficient, but all of these shootouts seem to be happening because both teams are passing a ton. It will be interesting to see how the Colts play when they are in must win games.

The Afc East is still a four team race

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

If you would’ve asked me this same question a month ago, shoot even 2 weeks ago I would’ve told you it was a 2 man race between the Dolphins and the Jets. times have changed and with just 5 weeks left to play the Bills and patriots have clawed their way back into contention down only 2 games. The remaining for the Bills consist of 2 very tough games against the Phins and Seahawks, while the others have very tough roads. The Jets have the Rams and Bears left on the schedule along with the New Browns, nef schedule is h*** all the way through and the Dolphins have the Bills, Raiders, Rams and Ravens left on the schedule. Alon has to happen but the Bills and Pats are still very much in the picture. This would be one of the biggest let downs in pml history by the Dolphins but im here for it.

The new Browns will get replaced in the offseason.

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

I know this sounds crazy as the new coach just joined a few days ago but just hear me out. This new guy is not a fit for the league and there are many things that let me know he won’t be here long. First off he has been getting complaints about his gameplay since his tryout game and after watching a game his limited playbook won’t be the best fit but that part can change. Second I feel like this guy isn’t grateful to be here and doesn’t know what the league’s about. He’s not talking at all besides his spat with codes, it doesn’t look like he’s going to try any content, the dude hasn’t interacted in any way since his first game and is more distant from what’s going on than Ceo. I’m not even trying to hate I just get a good feel for how this entire thing is going to turn out and maybe he’s just holding a spot for a Pml veteran that’s making his return but Good Luck Englewood!

Cowboys are the best defense in the league

Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction

Cowboys lost week 1 to the Giants, Micah parsons had a 5 game stretch where he put up 17.5 sacks and the cowboys were pretty much unanimously talked about as being the best D in the league but since then they are 2-2 in their last 4 and Micah only having 2 sacks. During all that a team in their own division has done very well. The New York Giants are 11-1 and ranked 1st in PPG allowed & total yards allowed. It’s also not really close with the cowboys in 2nd place by 18 yards more given up on avg. The Giants are forcing quite a few TOs and rushing the passer well enough, but the offense is also helping them out tremendously, protecting the ball and long drives.

AFC East is wide open

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

Miami Dolphins have lost 2 straight to make them 6-6 and facing off against the 4-8 tbandit bills this week pending,  the Dolphins also seeing Raiders, Rams, Pats and Ravens. This division is still anyones to take. Tbandit could get closer with a dub here, jets will be tied since they have split and let’s not sleep on nef who dropped 41 on the will Anderson led dolphin defense. But they all have pretty tough schedules to end the szn so we could potentially see this division leader be below .500 which should be interesting come playoffs.
