Philadelphia Eagles running back Will Shipley is ready to return to the field after serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s reception rule.
Shipley was suspended after it was discovered that he had illegally caught one too many passes in the first 8 games of the season. The violation was uncovered during a routine review of game statistics by league officials.
The Eagles’ coaching staff is eager to get Shipley back on the field, as he is a key player in their offense. Shipley is known for his speed and agility, and his ability to break tackles and make big plays.
Shipley has been working hard during his suspension, attending team meetings and staying in shape through daily workouts. He has also been studying film and working with the team’s coaches to improve his technique and understanding of the playbook.
“I’m ready to get back on the field and help my team win,” Shipley said in a statement. “I’ve learned from my mistake and I’m committed to doing everything I can to help us succeed.”
The Eagles will face a tough test in their last game before Shipley’s return, as they take the Dallas Cowboys who beat them 45-7 in Coach CB’s PML debut. Shipley’s return to the lineup next week vs. Pittsburgh will give the team a much-needed boost, as they look to improve their record.
Shipley’s teammates are also excited to have him back on the field next week. “Will is a great player and a great teammate,” said Eagles quarterback Drake Maye. “We’re ready to get him back and we know he’ll make a big impact.”
The Eagles are currently in fourth place in their division, with a record of 3-8. With Shipley back in the lineup, they will look to make a strong push in the second half of the season and play spoiler for playoff contenders.
