Season 3 another bust in Tennessee

As our season slowly comes to a close, it’s about time we look back at what went wrong for the Tennessee Titans in S3.

Malik Willis-

After a huge jump is S2, Malik Willis hit a plateau in S3. You could blame lack of WRs, or terrible OL play, but at the end of the day it comes down to decision making, and Malik just wasn’t up to par this season. So far he has 30 INTs, which puts him on watch the final 2 weeks of the season whether or not he is eligible for a dev. Season 4 will be make or break for Malik Willis and the Tennessee Titans, but it won’t be easy with one of the toughest divisions in PML

Titans WRs-

The Titans WR room has been an absolute roller coaster all season. To start the season Quez Watkins and Jaxon Smith Njigba were the WR1 and WR2. But when Quez went down with an injury for multiple weeks Titans rookie WR Johnny Wilson stepped in, and made a huge difference. In the final half of the season the WR1 has been Wilson, with Quez and JSN also hitting their stride.

Titans RB-

I feel like I don’t need to say much about this. Ty Chandler has been excellent in the absence of… Punter Bijan Robinson. The addition of a SS RB will really help this offense moving forward.

Titans OL-

This one is simple, we suck on the OL. With our best OL Nate Davis being out with multiple injuries over the season it just made things harder. This is priority #1 in the offseason, protect Malik.

Titans DL-

While the Titans defense has been far from good, the Titans front 4 have has a solid season, especially against the run. The additions of Montez Sweat and Javon Kinlaw have made the titans one of the tougher teams to run on in PML.

Titans DBs-

This situation is one of the more confusing in the Tennessee locker room. While the Titans DBs such as Caleb Farley, Kool-Ade McKinstry and Kevin Byard have had stellar seasons, including 2 of the 3 being in league leaders for INTs the Titans still ranked near the bottom of the league in passing yards. If this team wants to win games, we need to be able to play defense, and to this point we haven’t done much of that.

ST-

A nice addition to special teams this season has been WR JSN returning kickoffs and punts. He’s done a very nice job and his return man ability seems like it will lead to better returns moving forward
