The emergence of PMLs newest generational WR…

As the 2024 PML draft begun and the Panthers took WR Marvin Harrison off the board it was apparent that he was the newest of the generational WRs to grace PML. What was not expected is a 2nd rounder from Iowa state to join that list as well.

Johnny Wilson is far from your average WR, standing at 6’7 Johnny Wilson is an anomaly for an NFL WR. While he isn’t the burner or the refined route runner as many receivers are, he can catch the ball, and he can do it with the best of them. When the season began Johnny Wilson did not see much of the field at all. But when his name was called as WR1 Quez Watkins went down, he did not disappoint. Since entering the starting lineup Wilson has totaled 59 catches 1328 yards and 11 TDs.

His impact of the field has had a tremendous impact on Malik Willis as well. Maliks willingness and efficiency throwing the ball downfield has improved with Wilson. Wilson’s ability to jump and catch in traffic with even the best of corners has given Malik supreme confidence in the rookie WR.

The next step for Johnny Wilson is to get the ever valuable dev upgrade. With his production this season he should be in play for an end of season upgrade. Moving forward Wilson will be a key piece to the Titans success offensively
