FA Recap With Grades

90 Star WR Deandre Hopkins: Steelers: 5 Years, 77.5M Salary, 61.5M Bonus: B- terrible contract for a wide receiver lacking in speed and abilities. He’s still good and should help the offense, just not worth that money even in season 4.

87 Star K Harrison Butker: Jets: 4 Years, 11.6M Salary. 13.2M Bonus: C he’s a great kicker but he’s a kicker and should not be commanding 6M a year.

87 Star WR Amari Cooper: Rams: 4 Years, 56M Salary, 30M Bonus: D an upgrade over the now ability-less Michael Thomas but at that contract he should’ve just gone after Anthony Schwartz with how the Rams offense works

86 Star LE Demarcus Lawrence: Bears: 3 Years, 27.3M Salary, 28.5M Bonus: B+ Less money than I offered so props to getting one of the best free agents at not the biggest overpay. The Bears have money to spend so this shouldn’t hurt them too bad next season

84 Star DT Sebastian Joseph-Day: Eagles: 2 Years, 9M Salary, 13.8M Bonus: B very solid respectable DT who should contribute the last two seasons and the contract is reasonable if you see what the free agent DTs got last season.

84 Star LOLB Shaquil Barrett: 49ers: 1 Year, 9.6M Salary, 9.1M Bonus: C+ I personally think he’s washed as he is slow now and still weak but he did good work last season so maybe that continues. Overpay but its a 1 year so no big deal

83 Star WR Rondale Moore: Steelers: 5 years, 63.5M Salary, 48M Bonus: D- if you have the money spend it I guess but 94 speed isn’t enough to burn most teams and he’s 5’7. Should’ve just tried finding a guy in the draft or sticking with Calvin Austin in this role

83 Star LT Jedrick Wills Jr: Cowboys: 5 years, 57.5M Salary, 50M Bonus: C+ good contract if you are an Oline needy team but the Cowboys are far from that so he’ll be getting paid ridiculous money to play inside probably. Prevented a lot of teams from getting him though.

82 Normal MLB Foyesade Oluokun: Packers: 5 years, 50M Salary, 30M Bonus: B- overpay by a lot but speed at the user position matters and he’s good all around.

82 Star RT Dion Dawkins: 49ers: 1 Year, 9.3M Salary, 8.6M Bonus: C+ once again for the 49ers its a bad overpay but I will never grade a 1 year contract that low if you have the money

81 Star QB Zach Wilson: Cardinals: 5 years, 105M Salary, 54.5M Bonus: C this is neutral because it is so dependant on what happens with the Cardinals. Does Kyler get traded? Does Zach Wilson actually play well?

81 Star DT Derrick Nnadi: Jets: 1 Year, 3.6M Salary, 4.9M Bonus: A great reasonable contract for a guy that will probably contribute a good amount.

81 Star WR Bryan Edwards: Browns: 2 years, 8M Salary, 4.8M Bonus: F no way Bryan Edwards is getting 6M a year when he has been dirt cheap in the past and not productive

80 Normal C Charles Leno Jr: Steelers: 5 Years, 61M Salary, 49.5M Bonus F we really need contract restrictions in these later seasons because what even is this. 33 years old btw

79 Normal ROLB Matt Milano: Packers: 3 years, 7.5M Salary, 12M Bonus: B- don’t love the length but a solidly cheap contract for a veteran presence at linebacker.

79 Normal CB Jonathan Jones: Colts: 2 Years, 6.4M Bonus, 5M Salary: B+ good contract for a nickel corner who doesn’t have any huge weaknesses. Gotta hope he doesn’t regress badly after this season though with him under contract for a second year.

78 Normal CB James Bradberry IV: Eagles: 1 year, 2.6M Salary, 1.5M Bonus: B+ good 1 year deal to bring him back and help out while he can

78 Normal ROLB Chandler Jones: Seahawks: 1 year, 2M Salary, 3M Bonus: B+ good veteran for a 1 year deal and a mentor. Don’t see him producing though honestly

77 Normal DT Trysten Hill: Giants: 1 Year, 2.3M Salary, 3.2M Bonus: A can’t believe this guy didn’t have a market. The Giants get basically free depth at the DT position which means their line is stout even if someone goes down.

76 Normal ROLB Shaq Thompson: Saints: 1 year, 1.7M Salary, 2M Bonus: B good mentor 1 year deal. Can honestly play if he needs to as well.

76 Normal CB Ifeatu Melifonwu: Giants: 1 year, 1.8M Salary, 2M Bonus: B- great contract and he’s very tall but not reliable if he has to play more than a couple snaps

75 Normal RT Andre James: Bengals: 2 Years, 5.4M Salary, 4.2M Bonus: A- great contract and its sim, you love to see it. Great for the rest of the cycle and this guy won’t regress probably

75 Normal WR Auden Tate: Browns: 2 Years, 5M Salary, 2.6M Bonus: D+ the contract is much more fine than Bryan Edwards but this browns receiving core is slow af

75 Normal RE Joseph Ossai: Seahawks: 3 years, 10.8M Salary, 10.8M Bonus: A very solid contract for a great role player with the potential to be a franchise pass rusher. I thought he was off limits or I would’ve been in on him for sure. That’s on me though, good get Z

74 Normal WR Tutu Atwell: Patriots: 2 years, 4.6M Salary, 1.6M Bonus: B- the contract is fine but seems like an unnecessary pick-up

74 Normal SS Montae Nicholson: Rams: 4 years, 10M Salary, 20M Bonus: B is it an overpay when Sub LBs are seen as this valuable? might end up being more of a steal than I think right now

73 Normal LOLB Quincy Williams: Browns: 2 years, 4.4M salary, 2.6M Bonus: B+ good contract for a good depth LB. Will probably be able to contribute

73 Normal RT Ereck Flowers: Eagles: 1 year, 2.4M Salary, 1.4M Bonus: B good 1 year deal for a low end starter quality player who can be an excellent plug and play

73 Normal LG Damien Lewis: Raiders: 1 year, 1.2M Salary, 800k Bonus: A what I just said above but even cheaper. great get for the Raiders

73 Normal HB Ainias Smith: Commanders: 4 years, 9.6M Salary, 5.2M Bonus: A- pretty solid contract for a playmaker that can compliment Brian Robinson. Great returner, too.

72 Normal ROLB Yasir Abdullah: Cardinals: 3 Years, 4.2M Salary, 3.3M Bonus: A cheap steal of a developmental player for the Cardinals. Have to actually develop him though

72 Normal RG Wes Schweitzer: Cardinals: 1 Year, 1.8M salary, 800k Bonus: C+ I know what I said about cheap solid oline backups but he is weak and seems worse than his overall

72 Normal LT Isaac Moore: Cardinals: 2 years, 8M Salary, 4.6M Bonus: C another not great backup on a not great contract. He’s weak and slow but he is very tall

72 Normal CB Damarri Mathis: Jets: 3 years, 4.5M Salary, 6M Bonus: B good contract for a good depth corner who can help in dime packages and hopefully won’t get burnt

72 Normal LT Darian Kinnard: Bengals: 2 years, 8M Salary, 4.6M Bonus: C+ don’t love the contract but his attributes are quality and anything to protect Burrow

72 Normal P Brad Robbins: 49ers: 1 year, 3.4M Salary, 3.2M Bonus: F- nah I don’t care how much money you have why is a 72 punter getting over 6M even for 1 year. I have a punter with the same kick power for less than 500k

72 Normal K Brian Johnson: 49ers: 1 year, 3.6M Salary, 2.4M Bonus: D- he’s barely getting less than butker what is going on with the 49ers and special teams. Should’ve tried for Butker and got this guy cheaper if he didn’t sign

71 Normal LG Tank Jenkins: Bengals: 2 years, 3.8M Salary, 1.2M Bonus: A++ best name I’ve ever seen I don’t care what the contract is even though it is reasonable. He looks like a very solid backup all jokes aside

71 Normal WR Anthony Schwartz: Commanders: 4 Years, 36M Salary, 36M Bonus: B+ definitely an overpay but 96 speed will do that and I trust Wimmy will use him well. Also see this as a defensive signing. No one else gets him

70 Normal ROLB Nick Hampton: Buccaneers: 4 years, 12M Salary, 12M Bonus: A- I’m assuming there was competition to sign him with that contract but I like it because he is a perfect LB to help out and be a user in case of injury and he isn’t even bad.

69 Normal SS Tyree Gillespie: Buccaneers: 2 Years, 2M Salary, 1.4M Bonus: B very fine backup for a very fine contract. I do think you can just get someone equal or better in a mid to late draft pick

69 Normal ROLB Jabril Cox: Patriots: 3 Years, 3.3M Salary, 1.2M Bonus: A A minimum contract for 88 speed and a good depth piece. No complaints here

68 Normal SS Josh Jones: Rams: 3 years, 7.5M Salary, 6.3M Bonus: C- I may be wrong but can’t only 1 sub Lb play at time? If that isn’t the case it shows you how much faith the Rams have in their run defense to put two safeties in the box and have no linebackers on the field in nickel and dime.

68 Normal WR Joseph Ngata: Colts: 1 year, 1.5M Salary, 500k Bonus: B- A solid depth wide receiver at 6’3 91 speed 91 jump. Don’t know if he makes the roster though

52 Normal QB Blaine Gabbert: Colts: 1 year, 1.7M Salary, 400k Bonus: F who cares if I had the money, is Mentor XP really worth 2M for a 52 overall QB that you will actively be praying doesn’t see the field.
