Overreactions & Reality Checks: Trade Committee on a power trip. Mahomes trade fallout

The trade committee had a power trip this past week

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

Now we all know my beef with the trade committee goes back. I’ve never had a problem when they gave legitimate reasons or a decent rationale behind trade rejections.  Here is my thing though with what transpired this past week with the Texans and Cardinals.  It was a straight up bull$hit.  Their reasoning sucked, their handling of the situation was inconsiderate to the users involved, and at the end of the day I chalk it up to another case of them just being a$$holes.  Sometimes people in life don’t have much power, whether it is at work, at home (wife wears the pants), or just in general everyday life.  When given a tiny bit of power or authority, these said people just don’t know how to use it correctly.  Due to the fact they can hide behind anonymity, this trade committee panel is able to give brain dead and sometimes arrogant and non-useful feedback without any sort of accountability.  That is not how this system is supposed to work.  Do not sit here and tell me for one second that this committee researched and deep dove into the roster, salary cap situation, and everything that goes into this deal more than Drama and Dlloyd did.  I’ve received feedback before from these same people telling me EXACTLY what I need to do to make them approve it, have completed their demands, only to have it rejected once more.  It becomes a literal joke to them.  This same committee has seen the Texans being held back from truly reaching their potential because of the QB position.  This very same committee watched Dlloyd sign Zach Wilson as a clear and obvious addition to move on from Kyler Murray.  Why in the world are they making it so difficult for both users to reach their end goals.  The cap is not the concern of the trade committee, these users obviously will do what they need to do to create the cap space and finalize the deal.  You’re telling me they’re supposed to trust creating the cap space first, then hoping the trade committee approves these deals?  I would never trust that in a million years.  Dlloyd trusted the trade committee when he signed Wilson and look where it got him.  How can you expect them to dump cap or whatever needs to be done as a prerequisite, then be in a situation where they did that for no reason after the committee comes up with more BS to block the deals.  It’s not cool what goes on sometimes with them.  Their job is not to manage out teams, but to ensure nobody is being taken advantage of or colluded.  We can manage our own teams, that is why we are here, we all have a unique and individual way of doing things Who are you to tell me I cannot take a 1st for a particular player when I have 4 teams throwing it in front of me?  Essentially, the TC is dictating the market and what we can and cannot do with our teams.  Feedback, consistency, and integrity all need to be reviewed when it comes to the current trade community and I think its time this is looked at.  Nobody wants to spend days and hours doing due diligence that goes into a deal only for some power hungry committee members blocking it because they can hide behind anonymity.  It has to change.  Now go ahead and block all my deals for speaking up, I wouldn’t expect any less.  This system would thrive under Stalin or Mussolini, but there is no room for it here.  Thank you.

The Jets are about to be a top 4 seed in the AFC: Reality

Fallen once again has landed another XF Quarterback. Somehow, some way this man always finds a way to trade for a really good Quarterback. Now this Jets team becomes an immediate contender after having a solid draft. The AFC East looked terrible last season and now he has his chance to make a run.

This draft class was weak: Overreaction

Some people may feel like this draft class was bad because there were not many great WRs on the board or HBs. However, this could arguably be the best defensive draft class we have ever had in PML. We have nearly 4 players above 80 OVR who were all defensive starters. Travis Hunter came in at an 84 overall while we got a MLB with 92 speed at 80+ OVR. There are some broken defensive players that were sitting in this draft class.

The Mahomes trade was bad

Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction

Now I understand Mahomes should be with Chiefs  until he retires, but in the PML universe they are owned by mali. And mali just isn’t capable of being competitive while throwing the ball, so getting a RB that can be a house call whenever mali finds the right hole and a revamped chiefs defense that has been rebuilding since early szn 2 with top pick after top pick. This team is easily the best team in the AFC west with the broncos & chargers falling off and the raiders still maintaining. Overall I think we could see a mali that falls just shy of .500 which would be a huge improvement from last season.

Dolphins will never get past the afc champ game

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

We’ve now seen these Miami Dolphins lose in 2 championship games in a row and have earned the nickname “champ game que”  because some people believe he will always find a way to lose there.  It’s a tough reality bc how many more times can he send home the AFC North before they finally catch him? He lost his SS tackle this offszn and still has the same QB. Hill is on the wrong side of 30 and we don’t know if we will even see them in the playoffs after coasting to a 9 win divisional title. But the Bills have reloaded with Josh Allen and the jets have Mahomes, and the patriots have the best young QB in the NFL. It just feels like they are being left behind.
