Can you talk about the development of Jahaad Campbell so far?
We drafted Campbell in the first round to replace the retired Davis. Campbell has blazing speed and he has been working with equally fast MLB Harris. Harris has been teaching Campbell the ropes and they both look to lead being the Saints defense back to where they were a season ago.
What is the status of Marcus Maye and when is he set to return?
Maye got hurt in a preseason full padded practice. He is a bit older so he can’t handle the high intensity of the Saints preseason practices. He will be back next week for the final week of the preseason.
The offense in general is having a bit of a slow start, but it’s early and there’s still a lot of talent on that side of the ball. So is your thought process that it’ll work itself out and the points will come or do you feel like you need to change something, fix something?
The offense last season was one of the worst in the league. The turnovers killed most drives and Bryce Young was second in the league in interceptions. We’re brought in veteran TE Kelce as well as veteran RB Jones to help the young guys on offense. The hope is that these two will elevate the offense to produce some great things.
