Transcript: Saints Head Coach Press Conference

How has Cameron Jordan’s experience in the league helped the team so far?

Jordan is disappointed in himself this off-season. He had a 9.5 sack season, made the probowl and was named to second team all pro, however, he lost not only his X factor ability, but his superstar ability as well. He isn’t very happy in the Saints building and he is looking to make a come back. He is showing all rookies and young players, how you can lose everything yet, still have the chance to win in back.

How valuable is the self-scouting process that you go through during the Bye Week? There's the physical piece, but also that component, as well.

We have 74 players on the roster at the moment. We need to cut over 20 players and assign some to the practice squad. This final week is very important and We will be looking at the preseason tape in order to make our cuts.

Can you speak to the overall team health?

Going into the final week of preseason, we will be fully healthy for the first week of the season. A healthy team is very important, especially for week vs the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons boast of the best overall and fastest rosters in the league. It will take all hands on deck in order to beat the “Monstars” of PML.
