Transcript: Rams Head Coach Press Conference

What is the status of Aaron Donald and when is he set to return?

We’re taking our time with Donald as we should as he’s a big part of this team’s success not only on the field, but in the locker room as well. After talking to him and the trainer, they’re both confident that he’ll be making his season debut next week when we play the Jacksonville Jaguars. We’ll continue to monitor the situation, but all parties involve are pretty confident about it.

How do you rank the biggest changes to this team over the off-season by importance? What do you think were the team's best moves? Was there anything you wish you would have done that didn't get to do?

We feel really good about the off-season moves we made, and that includes the draft and free agency. In the draft, we picked up some young studs, a couple of which are starters for us. As far as free agency and the trade market is concerned, being able to bring back some key guys as well as address some key parts of our team really helped to bolster us and keep us grounded. I think we made the best moves for our team and honestly feel that the draft and free agency will be equally impactful.

Your team is one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of average age. How do you feel about the future of this team while not having as many young players as other teams? Do you think having an older team has its benefits?

I have no issue with having an older team to be honest, and if anything, I prefer it. Then I know I’ve got a locker room with a good mix of older and younger guys. And every team needs some veterans to lead the way for those young guys who are very talented, but still honing their skills and learning about the ins and outs of the game. Regardless, we’ve got a good group of guys here.
