How has Aaron Donald’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
Aaron Donald has been a big help to this team not only on the field, but also in the locker room. He’s been able to impact guys not only in the draft, but also in free agency as well. I think his biggest impact is on the young guys though, and we can really see that with his nephew Elliot Donald who really came on last year and played just about every defensive snap for us.
How quickly can you tell if a young player is a football player if he thinks about it because it seems like at the Combine they’re all saying the right thing and it’s the job. How quickly does it take?
It really depends on the situation to be quite honest with you. However, it generally takes about 5 minutes to really see what the player is about on the field, what he’s really about as a person, and how he chooses to live his life off the field. Those are all things we take into consideration as an organization that we feel really go a long way.
How do you rank the biggest changes to this team over the off-season by importance? What do you think were the team's best moves? Was there anything you wish you would have done that didn't get to do?
Honestly I’d say our moves in the draft were just as impactful as our moves in free agency and the trade market. I think we did what we needed to do this off-season, and I’m excited to see how it all plays out for the rest of the. Who knows how it’ll go, only time will tell.
