How has Jason Kelce’s experience in the league helped the team so far?
Well, Jason Kelce is a seasoned veteran in the league and brings a ton of experience and leadership to our team. How quickly can you tell if a young player is a football player if he thinks about it because it seems like at the Combine they’re all saying the right thing and it’s the job. How quickly does it take?
Well, it's tough to say exactly how quickly you can tell if a young player is a true football player. Obviously, the combine and interviews can give you some insight into their physical abilities and mindset, but it's really not until you see them on the field that you can get a true sense of what they're capable of. That being said, some players just have a natural feel for the game and you can see it right away. It's all about instincts, work ethic, and how they perform in live game situations. So, while there's no hard and fast rule, as a coach, you have to trust your gut and evaluate players based on their performance and potential.
Your team is one of the oldest teams in the league in terms of average age. How do you feel about the future of this team while not having as many young players as other teams? Do you think having an older team has its benefits?
Well, while it's true that we have one of the older teams in the league, I'm not too worried about our future. We have a lot of experienced players who bring a ton of leadership and knowledge to the game, and that can be invaluable in helping younger players develop and succeed. Plus, having an older team means we have a group of guys who have been through it all before and know how to handle the ups and downs of the season. So, while having a younger team can certainly have its benefits, I think our experience is a definite advantage and I'm confident in our ability to compete at a high level for years to come.
