Overreaction or Reality: Browns run the North and PML? Hypemikes timeshare is… over?

This quarterback draft class is a bust compared to the rest of the draft

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

Yeah I felt a bit cheated selecting a quarterback season 4 draft that I thought would be a little more plug and play than a project. I really wish that was the case. I am sure other top QB drafters such as the Vikings with Klubnik and Buccaneers with Brown feel the same. While Klubnik is more out the box ready attribute wise, he lacked the superstar ability to really make a top 10 selection justifiable. Murphy came in at a 71 at number 1 overall and Jacurri Brown a 68 overall at number 4. I wouldn’t feel so crumby about all this had it not been for the 80+ overall defensive wonders who have come out of this draft.

Computer games have to go (or be optional)

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

So we just watched the CPU take down one of our top 10 users, along with other top users this cycle and last. The CPU is no slouch. I’d say they would be a playoff contender if we had a ‘house team’ computer as one of our teams. I don’t think that’s a hot take either. This whole system of missing a game and letting your CPU cover for you shouldn’t happen. What if I miss 2 games, I’d have a great shot at 2 wins, perhaps a better chance if I played the game myself. If someone cannot make a game, that’s on them, we don’t let the CPU fill in with in many cases an increased chance at a win. This has to be reviewed for next cycle because it almost seems as if the available party is being punished by playing All-Madden cpu.

The AFC South is wide open

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

The Jaguars look absolutely lost, disinterested, and terrible all around. This is the season another team in the AFC South can make some noise. The Jaguars have won the division 3 times in a row with pieces being moved around every single season. It may be time for the King of the South to see if he can retain dominance, but the odds are not in their favor right now.

The Browns is the best team in PML right now

Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction

Yes, our new user DOC is performing really well but people have to slow their roll. First off, he came in season 4 where some guys show interest while a handful really do not care. He joined the league at a time where dedication shifts and not when it was at full strength which is around the first 3 seasons. Nonetheless, he is doing great and can easily probably win the AFC. He will have to go through some juggernauts though, but let’s wait until there is a bigger sample size to crown him with this.

AFC East will be the most interesting division

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

This division has gotten alot of hype for how mediocre they’ve been as a whole. Dolphins tanked szn 1 and now find themselves at the bottom of the division eyeing a 2nd year this cycle they might miss the playoffs which would really put a damper on his overall cycle. Jets& pats really have never put together a stretch of games where they look good this entire cycle and schematically I just don’t think they can hang, jets are obsessed with holding onto the ball for 5-8 step drop backs which cause them to turn a lot of 1st & 10s into 2nd & 24s just completely taking themselves out of  drives. And pats for as much as they talk about football just lack a variety of plays and rely way too much on 4 verts or slot fades, and when he is able to get a solid drive they are forcing passes into the redzone tryna feed Caleb and so far he has 14 INTs thru 4 games with only 4 TDs. Bills so far haven’t really done anything besides go 11-6 and get sent home in the wildcard. And after his worse PML szn ever going 7-10 they are back on track at 3-1 but overall still not playing great. The defense is slightly improved and they are committing to the run more but that passing game is mid.

Doc runs the AFC North

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

This new coach took over one of the worst teams performance wise over the course of this cycle and has started the season 4-0 with a win over all of his divisional mates. Bengals and ravens haven’t really had to go thru much adversity and pretty much just coast to the playoffs bc they had 4 free wins a season and 0 chance of finishing 3rd, but now the browns are 1st, ravens are 3-1 and look like the only other team that will contend for the division title this year, Bengals have fallen to 1-3 and have had a below avg defense along with completely giving up on the run game which I think is a big mistake in terms of winning football games. It just makes a predictable team even more predictable by being one dimensional. Overall browns have the easiest schedule out of all 3 and they still get free wins from the Steelers so it’ll be interesting to see how things play out with the ravens and browns

The AFC East is a Mess

Reality or Overreaction: Reality
I dont know if I have seen a division with as many unpredictable interdivision games. It feels like they just beat each other up each time they play which would prevent a team from having a 3 or  4 loss season, but instead the winner ending at 11-6, or 10-7. I still do think that tbandit will end up winning the division, that bills team is still good and that schedule is much lighter than past years. Mahomes could be a game changer for the Jets, but I have more faith in tbandit.

Ant could make the playoffs
Reality
It is a very outside chance, but he already has two solid wins under his belt. He has the 3rd place schedule, he plays the NFC south. It would have to be a wild card spot, but right now some playoff teams from last year are off to less than ideal starts. I did not watch the game against DK, but the box score makes it look like a close game. I think we should keep a close eye on the 49ers games these upcoming weeks to see if this is just a nice stretch to start the season or if ant has actually turned the

The Afc North is still up for grabs?

Reality or Overreaction: Reality

Doc has came in and completely s****** on the 2 previous Browns owners with the way he’s come in and competed with a roster that quite frankly is a year or 2 behind everybody in terms of content being put in and all the dumb moves previous users made that put them in cap h*** or handicapped them to an extent. He’s 3-0 in the division so far and is undefeated but I just feel like there’s room for the Ravens to hawk him down. Like I said he’s 3-0 but not a world beater as he can definitely be had and over the last few weeks he’s given me reason to believe that there’s a chance he’ll drop a few games down the stretch. Cammy is 1-3 and he still has a shot at the playoffs but with how he’s playing I doubt he can get the division crown but we shall see. I like the Browns to win it but there’s a good chance he gets hawked by the final quarter of the season

The Nfc West will send 3 this year

Reality or Overreaction: Overreaction

The Nfc West has been a 2 man race all cycle but in season 4 we could definitely see that change. The Rams and Niners are sitting at 3-1 and even though the Seahawks are sitting at 2-2 they’ve had a h*** schedule and will find their way back into the mix. With all that being said I still think only the Seahawks and Rams making it. We still have 13 weeks left and there’s a ton of very good Nfc Teams that have had slow starts to their season and are filling their roster out and will get it together by the midway stretch. Ant has had a great start and is playing their best ball of the cycle but we all know Ant, he starts the new season excited to play with his new toys and then he either collapses or has a mid-season stretch where he drops a plethora of games. In the Nfc every game counts and I feel like the downfall of him mid-season while others are trending upwards will cause him to miss the playoffs but he should be close, just not good enough.
