What up PML, today I’m back with my new article series called MASKED where I interview 3 to 4 new users (not including myself) each article in PML on some interesting topics….but their names will not be revealed. Here we are back with our little rivalry series, this time seeing how outsiders feel about the JC vs Drama rivalry.
PREVIOUS TOPIC: 3 USERS WHO DESERVE A TOP TEAM
TOPIC: JC vs Drama…Who’s Right?
PERSON 1
Given all of the trash talk, accusations of PML “colluding” against him trying to get Kyler Murray…do you feel like Drama backs up who he thinks he is on the virtual gridiron?
That collusion talk is cap. He wasn’t talking about collusion when he flipped his draft picks for Winston/Adebo/Ruiz/Deebo/Kamara. The only time Drama has a problem with something is when it doesn’t go his way. As far as him backing up who he thinks he is, that’s also not the truth either. We’re used to seeing him fold in big moments and no one is better at losing a 5-game head start to either fall out of the playoff race or out of a top 2 seed. His offense is more predictable than he thinks it is, and he’s also tended to rely on the jump ball (if you’ve heard of L2 catching, you’ve heard him talk about it before).
JC…overrated or underrated?
I think JC flies under the radar pretty often. He’s done an excellent job of not only drafting guys, but developing them into great talents. While the playoff success hasn’t necessarily been there, being good enough to consistently pick up wins in a tough AFC, especially after the real Isaiah Rodgers did nothing with the team, is positive. I have a lot of respect for how he’s changed his game since he was last here.
Lastly, who is the better user between the two?
I have to give the edge to JC. He’s not only won every single one of their matchups by a wide margin, he’s shown he’s the better GM and team builder as well. I’m excited to see how he continues to progress and I’m glad he’s back in the league.
PERSON 2
On multiple occasions, Drama has called JC trash and a “b**”. Do you feel like JC is a top 10 user in PML this cycle and how do you feel about Drama’s takes on him?
JC is not a top 10 user in PML but he is not a b**. Some of his reads are very questionable and thanks to Madden being Madden he comes down with some insane catches. Also, his defensive line is one of the best in PML, covering up a lot of his defensive flaws. He is a solid user I would put more into the 15-20 range, but definitely a tough opponent nonetheless.
Can Drama be considered….a fraud?
Yes, he is one of the most fraudulent users I have ever seen in PML. He accused the league of collusion, then when he got his way he has been absolute dogshit with Kyler Murray. He talks in chat 90% less than he did last season when he was winning.
If you had to choose on who you can play in the PML Playoffs…who would you rather play against…JC or Drama?
I would definitely prefer to play Drama. He is a user who gives me a lot of coward like tendencies. He strikes absolutely no fear in anyone he plays in PML. On the other hand, JC and his defensive line are terrifying.
PERSON 3
Is Drama good…or trash?
Drama is in the low mid region of the PML hierarchy. He tends to take his one 10 win season every cycle and runs with it like he is some sort of top talent. The thing with Drama is he puts on a show. Deep down he knows he is low-mid, deep down he knows he isn’t here to win a Super Bowl, and deep down he knows his place in line. Will he say it? Only when being compared with the higher tiered guys, but he will never admit to being equal or less than anyone other than that. Bottom line is that nobody fears Drama on their schedule. To top it off he is one of the worst GMs that PML has ever seen. Nobody would have a problem with Dramas talent in this league, but when he barks the way he does, he brings himself to the forefront and we just have to say Drama you aint all that you think you are.
How do you feel about JC as a user in PML and what he’s done so far this cycle?
JC shows flashes of being a top user in the league. He can hang with anyone, but at times shoots himself in the foot with his shot plays and inability to play shut down defense in seasons past. This season is a different story as he ranks in the top 10 in defense in what may be the missing link of JC putting together a deeper playoff run. He did a very good job putting the team together to his style, and one of the most standout moves was trading up to grab Ewers who gave him the QB he desperately needed after a heartbreaking playoff exit with Levis under center. The picks of Boutte and Bowers could have been considered reaches at the time, considering the lack of dev and the talent they passed on in those draft positions, but both players proved to be a key part of JCs scheme and play style.
Both of these users don’t have much success going deep in the playoffs this cycle…do you see any of these guys going past the second round at least once this cycle?
I don’t see Drama making the playoffs this season so this question is null and void. As far as JC, yes I could see a deep playoff run this season especially if the defense continues to play the way they are and they give other teams fits through the air and on the ground. Ewers is playing at a very high level 1414/17/8/119.0 through the first 5 games of the season. If he could keep it up the sky is the limit for the Colts.
