Power Rankings Season 4 Week 10 (King in the North)

  1. Ravens (9-1): PML’s hottest team is riding one of the longest winning streaks that we have seen so far this cycle. The Baltimore Ravens haven’t lost a game since their week 1 defeat by the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens are beating teams on average by two scores and a few of those scores by opposing teams have come in garbage time. The Ravens are a team that no one wants to see in the playoffs if they can keep this streak alive.
  1. Seahawks (7-3): We’re into the softer portion of the Seahawks schedule, but they are taking care of business against the teams that they should beat. A key victory over the 49ers this week gives them the edge in the NFC West. After a stint in Carolina next week, they’ll head to LA with sights to position themselves even further atop the NFC West standings.
  1. Bears (7-2): Can you believe it’s only been one season since the Bears set their sights on a small rebuild? Their massive haul in the Justin Fields trade and what they were able to do in the draft has set their team up for success. The Bears third best passing defense brought rookie sensation Mason Garcia down a notch this week after forcing two interceptions and getting a huge two touchdown victory over the Cowboys.
  1. Raiders (8-1): You can’t turn the ball over and expect to win in PML. The Raiders have been fortunate that Jayden Daniels interceptions haven’t cost them a game so far this season, well until this week when Daniels threw three interceptions and they suffered their first loss of the season against the Bengals. Daniels has thrown 8 interceptions in his last three games and is up to 10 interceptions on the season. For a guy that has been so accurate this season, you have to wonder if his confidence is shot.
  1. Bengals (6-3):1-3 to 6-3, you have to commend the resilience of Cammy and the Cincinnati Bengals, there’s only a very small chance to make the playoffs when starting 1-3 and the Bengals are right in the thick of the wildcard race in the AFC. Joe Burrow has put the offense on his back and is distributing the ball well in Cincy with 5 players having nearly 30+ receptions a piece. Cammy is hot right now and this is the type of football we’re used to seeing happening in Cincinnati this cycle.
  1. Cowboys (8-2): The Cowboys suffered their first actual loss this week, their other loss came at the hands of a computer game which they lost to the All-Madden computer. In his last 5 games, Mason Garcia has thrown 8 interceptions. The Cowboys have the 27th ranked passing offense and their offense is very reliant on the running game, but they can’t focus on their bread and butter when they’re quarterback is turning the ball over. The Cowboys have to get back to what they do best, pound the rock.
  1. Colts (7-3): We know what Indy can do against a below .500 team and they’ve shown that with impressive victories against the Broncos last week and the Chiefs this week. They only have one game left this season against a team that is better than .500 right now. The AFC South could be wrapped up as we head into week 16, but you know that JC is looking to get the playoff chip off his shoulder, he wants to get his first playoff victory and home field advantage can help him out.
  1. Packers (6-3): The Packers kept their poise this week despite seeing a suspended Nick Chubb on the field. I’ve been waiting for the Packers’ defense to live up to the hype and they forced Deshaun Watson to throw 4 interceptions this week. What was even better was that the interceptions came by 4 different Packer defenders. PML Sportsbook had the Packers as the favourites coming into this game, but I was doubtful, especially with seeing how they’ve matched up against winning teams so far this season, but they proved me wrong.
  1. Browns (6-3): Nick Chubb has been suspended for four games due to PED usage, er over usage. Cleveland is on their first losing streak this losing at the hands of the NFC North. Offensively, the Browns have one of the worst in the league in terms of total yards accumulated and without Chubb, it may be difficult for the Browns to find a balance. Deshaun Watson has thrown 7 interceptions in the past two losses, he needs to settle down, and the Browns have to get back to playing winning football or be at the mercy of missing the playoffs this season.
  1. Dolphins (6-3): Tyreek Hill ran past the New England defenders like they were stuck in mud racking up 295 yards through the air. There was a lot of of talk between the Dolphins and the Patriots leading up to this game, but the Dolphins completed their sweep of the Patriots and are atop the AFC East heading into week 11.
  1. Giants (5-5): Danny Dimes or Danny Nickels? Which Daniel Jones will we see each week for New York. Danny Dimes came to play against the Buccaneers throwing for 3 touchdowns and a for a Giants’ defense that has allowed an average of 28 points a game, they completely shut out the Buccaneers. Don’t look now, but the Giants have a favourable schedule the rest of the way this season.
  1. Rams (5-4): The Rams are coming off a bye week, but they never expected to have four losses at this point in the season. They’ll get the New Orleans Saints next week in what will likely be a tune up game for them, much similar to the games you see in week 1 in college. DJ U only threw 25 interceptions last season and he is already at 21 this season. The Rams will find success if they can limit the turnovers moving forward.
  1. 49ers (6-4): Every time the 49ers have an opportunity to come away with a victory that will inch them closer to winning the division, they fold. For a team that started 3-0, where they are this far into the season has to be a let down for them. Their schedule is one of the more difficult ones to end the season and if I were a betting man, I’d have them being edged out of the playoffs come week 18.
  1. Bucs (5-4):Jacurri Brown was the real deal for all of one week.. Shame. Losing is one thing, but not being able to put up a single point in a game is disastrous for morale. The Buccaneers are only averaging 23 points per game on offense this season, but it’s been their defense that has won them games. However, you can’t expect your defense to win a game for you, when the offense gets shut out, gotta do better in Tampa Bay.
  1. Bills (5-4): The Bills have been on the verge of a couple close games the past couple weeks, but they’ve found ways to win in the fourth quarter, and they could have made this game against Baltimore into one of them as well, but Josh Allen folded like a pancake. Josh Allen threw 5 interceptions which is the most in one game so far this season. He has to take care of the ball better or the BIlls are going to miss the playoffs for a second season in a row.
  1. Vikings (5-5): The Vikings are an enigma and just when you think CEO is back, you’re wrong. Getting the upset victory over the Browns was huge, but the Lions were at full health and the Vikings couldn’t keep up this week with Jameson Williams and company. Dalvin Cook’s suspension had the opposite effect and made the passing game lackluster. Devin Singletary was productive this week rushing for over 130 yards on 31 carries. The Vikings are at a crossroads heading into their bye week, they have to create a high power offensive attack to mirror the offenses in their division.
  1. Jets (5-5): Winners of 3 of their last 4, they’re doing their part to keep pace with the AFC east where it seems no team can separate themselves from each other all cycle.  Rookie WR Julian Fleming has not only emerged as Mahomes favorite target, but is putting himself in the mix for best WR in the league this season.
  1. Falcons (4-5): The Falcons have the most important game of the cycle this week when they take on the Bucs in what could be the defining moment we all waited for in seeing someone other than Codes atop the division.  Season 4, week 11, it may finally happen.
  1. Jaguars (4-5): Will the Jaguars make a run at a wildcard spot this season?  Sitting a game under. 500, they will certainly have their work cut out for them if they want to achieve this.  Aside from all the suspensions they’re dealing with, the defense believe it or not is playing in the bottom percentile, most notably their passing defense ranked 29th and giving up 276 yards per game.  A generous next few games should put the Jaguars back into the playoff conversation.
  1. Patriots (4-5): Another one-score loss puts the Patriots on the outside looking in as we begin the final stretch of the regular season.  The defense had absolutely no answer for Tyreek Hill who went for 295 yards and a score on a 95 yard play.  Que threw the speed WR narrative right in Nef’s face.
  1. Commanders (3-6): The season is pretty much over in Washington as Wimmy will focus on his draft selection rather than a playoff run.  Not often Wimmy, one of our top users, is in this scenario.  Sam Howell has been disastrous this season and we may see a QB change for the Commanders who enter the final season searching for a way to end the cycle on a high note.
  1. Chiefs (4-5): The Chiefs have dropped 2 straight and their season is just about on life support.  Lawrence has hit a wall throwing just 1 touchdown to 9 interceptions over his last two games, including a 54 yard effort week 8 that saw the air attack average just 3.2 yards per pass.  Mali and the Chiefs have a chance to get back to .500 this week and keep their season alive when they travel to Cleveland.
  1. Eagles (4-6): The Eagles aren’t done yet as they also try and keep their season alive for another week.  Drake Maye was flawless in the victory over the Saints and Isaiah Bond continues to find the endzone in a solid rookie season.  The trade deadline has come and went, and Derrick Henry will live out his final days in an Eagles uniform.
  1. Chargers (4-5): The offense is playing at a top 10 level, but the issue this cycle for the Chargers continues to be the defense who are just being shredded on the ground and in the air on a weekly basis.  The rest of the Chargers schedule doesnt bold well for any playoff hopes.  Check it out, LV, GB, DAL, LV, NYG, IND.  Playoffs are pretty much out of the question if you ask me based on the schedule the Chargers have to close out the season.
  1. Lions (3-6): The Lions are gaining confidence by the week now on a 2 game win streak playing at full strength.  Although it may be too late this season, I am looking forward to seeing how they perform in season 5 assuming they keep the same core intact and key players off the suspension list.
  1. Texans (3-7): The fans in Houston are lobbying for Jameis Winston to return as the Kyler Murray situation continues to prove costly for Drama as they continue to struggle this season.  Wasn’t Murray supposed to be the final piece of the puzzle?
  1. Titans (3-6): Bubba and the Titans have totally flat lined losing 4 in a row and again having their star running back suspended.  I mean, only 5 rush attempts?  You gotta do better, and it is probably the easiest rule to follow.  It continues to be a cycle to forget for Bubba.
  1. Steelers (1-9): Defense is being destroyed weekly, and the offense is still in experimental stages with Maalik Murphy.  The Steelers schedule to close out the season is pretty brutal as pretty much every team is playing for playoff positioning.  Talk about a cycle to forget…
  1. Broncos (2-7): The Broncos are one of the bigger surprises this season sitting at the bottom of the league and now losers of 3 in a row.  It’ll be interesting to see what direction they go this off-season at the quarterback position.
  1. Saints (2-7): The Saints have lost their last 6, and are having one of the worst seasons Burn has had in his PML tenure.  The Saints have a lot of win-now players that are getting a bit older and may start declining this off-season.  That aside, I think the Saints could contend next season when they get a fresh slate.
  1. Cardinals (2-7): Another user who will erase the Madden 23 cycle from his memory bank, Dlloyd and the Cardinals just cannot get it going at all.  Fresh off the bye week, they will play the surging Lions and Falcons in what may be a quarterback carousel to close out the season.  I say you give the rookie Tyler Van Dykhe a look to close out the season.
  1. Panthers (1-9): The Panthers have now lost 8 games in a row. The good news is Anthony Richardson has returned and JT needs to let him loose if he wants to beat the Madden algorithm and keep his super star dev.
